Eurovision star @damiim has released her new bossa nova single Sight of You.

The song is a follow up to Bubble, released back in September, off her upcoming EP.

Sight of You is co-written by Dami along with Dana Lowrey-Palmer and Josh Beattie, and produced by long time collaborator Michael Tan.

The song sees Dami take a dive into the smooth tones of the bossa nova music.

The upcoming EP released has been described as Dami's exploration of self-reflection, emotional honesty and growth, all delivered with musical sophistication and accessibility.

The Eurovision 2016 jury winner has a big year coming up.

Earlier in the month Dami revealed that "big things are coming" in celebration of the 10th anniversary release of Sound of Silence which finished in second place at Eurovision back in 2016.

Denmark’s national broadcaster DR has officially unveiled the lineup of artists set to compete in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2026, marking the beginning of the country’s annual search for its next Eurovision representative.

The full lineup consists of eight acts, representing a diverse cross-section of Denmark’s current music scene. The songs can be streamed on the official Dansk Melodi Grand Prix YouTube channel.

Australian Eurovision related artists have taken home top honours at the 2025 Vanda & Young Global Songwriting Competition.

The prestigious competition celebrates outstanding songwriting talent from across the globe, awarding a total prize pool of AUD $80,000 across 14 songs.

Louis Schoorl

Dutch-born Australian songwriter and producer Louis Schoorl claimed the Third Place Prize, including AUD $5,000, for the song Zombie. The track was performed and co-written by UK artist Lewis Fitzgerald and co-written and co-produced by Danny Shah.

Louis is no stranger to success, having worked with some of Australia’s biggest names including 5 Seconds of Summer, Jessica Mauboy, Dami Im, Guy Sebastian and Delta Goodrem.

His Eurovision journey began in 2015, when he contributed to Tonight Again, Australia’s first competitive Eurovision entry, performed by Guy Sebastian in Vienna. The song went on to finish an impressive fifth place, marking a strong debut for Australia on the Eurovision stage.

Jude York

Singer-songwriter, producer and artist Jude York was named Emerging Australasian Songwriter, taking home AUD $5,000 for his song Almost Me, Almost You.

The track was co-written with Sarah Aarons (USA/Australia) and produced by acclaimed Dutch producer Giorgio Tuinfort. Almost Me, Almost You is set for release in the coming weeks via Spinnin’ Records.

Jude first captured national attention in 2022 when he competed in Eurovision – Australia Decides with the powerful ballad I Won’t Need to Dream, finishing in eighth place. Since then, his career has gone from strength to strength, with his raw and emotionally driven music resonating strongly on TikTok and beyond.

Charley

Eurovision – Australia Decides 2022 artist Charley was among ten recipients of the Emerging Global Songwriter Award, earning recognition for her song Man On The Moon.

Charley competed on the Gold Coast in 2022 with I Suck At Being Lonely, finishing in fourth place and leaving a lasting impression on both juries and audiences.

In 2025 Charley was selected as one of five jurors representing Australia at Eurovision.

Norwegian broadcaster NRK has unveiled the first eight artists who will be competing in Norway's Melodi Grand Prix (MGP), the national selection to find the nations representative for The Eurovision Song Contest 2026.

Fans will notice familiar faces in the lineup, including former Eurovision winner Alexander Rybak as well as Australian and former MGP act Mileo.

The final spot in the contest will be decided by the Norwegian public out of eight shortlisted acts.

The 9th act as well as all the competing songs will be released on January 26.

The nine artists will battle it out to be this years MGP champion at the Håkons Hall in Lillehammer on Saturday 28 February 2026 (early morning on Sunday 1 March for Australia). You'll be able to stream the contest through NRK's website.

Satoshi gained 12 points from the Moldovan jury, international jury and public televote, a full clean sweep!

In a red-hot edition of Moldovan national final Selecția națională Satoshi proved victorious, earning his spot at Eurovision 2026 with the song Viva, Moldova!

Vlad Sabajuc known by his stage name Satoshi is a 27-year-old singer-songwriter hailing from Cahul, Moldova. He's been steadily gaining momentum across Moldova and Romania, collaborating with the likes of Irina Rimes, Carla's Dreams and Guess Who - staples of the local music industry.

Viva, Moldova! is an ode to his home country and is packed with references to local culture, music and people underneath the otherwise simple pop veneer. The entry received the largest in-house crowd response and stood out for its energetic but well-executed staging with the best hook of the night.

This year's edition of Selecția Națională saw a dramatic-increase in song quality, staging and visual design following their withdrawal in 2025. Fans were also delighted to see Eurovision royalty Jamala, Paula Seling and Natalia Gordienko grace the stage as performers but also as jurors.

Two time Eurovision winner @loreenofficial has been announced as part of the celebrity guest judges for season 3 of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK vs The World.

Loreen is joined by singer-songwriter JADE, supermodel Kristen McMenamy, and award-winning comedian and writer Jayde Adams as this seasons celebrity guest judges.

Loreen is no stranger to the Drag Race universe!

Back in 2023 the queen of Eurovision appeared as a guest judge on the Sweden version of Drag Race, Drag Race Sverige.

Loreen featured in episode five, Dragodifestivalen where she witnessed the bottom drag queens battle it out in the lip sync challenge to her Eurovision 2012 winning song Euphoria.

In 2023 she made history when she secured Sweden's seventh Eurovision win with Tattoo.

With an eclectic mix of newcomers, returning favourites, and genre surprises, this year’s contest promises both musical diversity and plenty of drama. Ukrainian broadcaster Suspilne has created a playlist to listen to the entries, check them out in our article on our website, link in bio.

The recent editions of Vidbir have introduced a wildcard artist decided by local public vote. Earlier in the week, it was revealed that Khayat would join the nine other artists to complete the line-up.

For the first time ever, the Eurovision Song Contest is heading out on a live concert tour. The unique concert experience will be coming to you from ten cities across Europe, celebrating seven decades of the biggest live music event in the world.

At each concert, fans will be able to see not just some of their all-time favourite Eurovision stars, but also a selection of artists that will be competing at the Grand Final of Vienna 2026. So, if you end up finding some new faves while watching the Eurovision Song Contest in May, you might well be able to experience them live just one month later.

The lineup of 2026 artists joining the tour starting in June will be confirmed after the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final, which is happening on Saturday 16 May. The Eurovision Icons performing in each city will be announced in the coming weeks.

There are also some special guests lined up as a bonus surprise each night; they’ll be performing especially for you and your fellow concert-goers depending on which dates you are lucky enough to snap up tickets for!

The trio, who were each just 10 years old when they won Junior Eurovision for their country in 2008, have been selected by broadcaster GPB to represent Georgia at Vienna 2026.

The song that they'll compete with in May will be released at a later date.

The group, made up of Giorgi Shiolashvili, Mariam Tatulashvili and Mariam Kikuashvili, found themselves back in the spotlight at Junior Eurovision 2025.

Held in Tbilisi after Georgia's fourth victory in 2024, the OG champs were reunited to perform as one of the interval acts. And their performance of new song We Don't Sleep caused quite the 'buzzzz' online, with many Song Contest sleuths wondering if this was a sign that the band might finally be making a much-anticipated transition to the Eurovision Song Contest.

Now, aiming to qualify for the Eurovision Grand Final for the second year in a row, Maltese broadcaster TVM has unveiled the eighteen songs competing in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest (MESC) 2026, all hoping to become the country’s next Eurovision representative in Vienna.

Twelve members of the Aussievision team have listened to all eighteen entries and scored them Eurovision-style, from 12 points down to 1.

The semi-final of MESC 2026 is being held on Thursday 15 January 2026 (Friday morning for Australia), where 12 songs will qualify to the MESC 2026 final from 18 semi-finalists.

The final of MESC 2026 is being held on Saturday 17 January 2026 (Sunday morning for Australia) at the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre in Ta' Qali, where the winner will be decided by a 50/50 split of jury and public votes.

Last month, Eurovision royalty @damiim spoke to the @confessionsofarealitystar Podcast reflecting on her journey from The X Factor to the Eurovision stage.

During the chat, Dami opened up about her time at the Contest, her thoughts on a potential return, and revealed an exciting collaboration planned to mark the 10th anniversary of her iconic Eurovision entry, Sound of Silence.

When asked how she plans to celebrate a decade since representing Australia at Eurovision, Dami shared the big news:

“10 years next year. That I find hard to believe, but 10 years on next year. I am releasing — I am working on a collaboration with Electric Fields to do a new version of Sound of Silence. I am so excited about this. This is going to be so cool. It’s so fun. It’s been the best.”

American superstar Madonna has covered a classic song from an Italian artist competing in this year's Sanremo Music Festival.

Madonna released the cover of the song La bambola as part of a campaign with Dolce and Gabbana.

The song (which translates to 'The Doll') was originally performed by Patty Pravo in 1968. It went No.1 in Italy and charted across Europe and South America.

Fans of two Australia Decides alumni can catch them performing in Melbourne this summer as local councils put on free live entertainment for the community.

Australia's 2024 Eurovision representatives @electricfields_music are headlining City of Stonnington's annual free summer concert Sunset Sounds on Sunday 18 January at the Malvern Gardens.

It's the electronic duo's first live performance for 2026, and they'll be joined by Punjabi soul and jazz artist Parvyn and local DJ Lyndelle Wilkinson.

Sunset Sounds is a long-running free and all-ages event in the City of Stonnington in Melbourne's inner east and gives visitors a chance to enjoy a picnic and dance the afternoon away in an idyllic parklands setting.

Electric Fields were runners-up in the inaugural edition of SBS' former Eurovision selection contest Australia Decides in 2019, nudged out by Kate Miller-Heidke.

SBS then picked them to be our representative at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo, Sweden with their song One Mikali (One Blood). They finished 11th in semi-final one, narrowly missing qualification for the grand final by six points.

Meanwhile, @mitchtambo, who competed in the 2020 edition of Australia Decides, is headlining Glen Eira City Council's outdoor event Under The Stars at Packer Park, Carnegie on Saturday 21 February.

Tambo finished fifth with his song Together in the 2020 contest, which was won by Montaigne.

A proud Gamilaraay man, he's since become known for his covers of major Australian hits in language, including John Farnham's You're The Voice and Icehouse's Great Southern Land.

The world music star will be performing alongside Central Coast-based female indie folk trio Little Quirks, and like Sunset Sounds, fans can come along with a picnic or grab some snacks from the food trucks on site.

Overnight the Icelandic broadcaster RÚV has cancelled Söngvakeppnin 2026.

As reported by RÚV:

RÚV will not be holding a traditional singing competition this year. This is according to RÚV's program director. It has not been decided what will replace it.

"There will be no traditional singing competition. It is clear and was actually planned in December and what will replace it is under consideration," says Eva Georgs. Ásudóttir, RÚV's program director.

"We will do our best to offer a good program instead of the singing competition," she adds.

"It is clear that the song contest in the format that has existed since we participated in Eurovision will not be held. The prerequisites for a traditional song contest are broken by our not participating in Eurovision, what will be done next has not been decided," she adds.

Unfortunately that didn't eventuate due to the Covid-pandemic which lead to the Eurovision Song Contest being cancelled for the first time in it's history and then Australia Decides not being held the following year.

Even though Dami didn’t directly answer the question of whether she is returning to Eurovision anytime soon, it does sound like she has something big in store for the 10th anniversary of Sound of Silence. We will have to wait and see…

Dami also confirmed that she will be performing in Amsterdam for Het Grote Songfestivalfeest 2026 held in the Netherlands.

Asked whether she had a European tour planned, she said:

"I am playing in Amsterdam on November 13th this year, which is very exciting. I am planning on adding some more European dates around then. So, let me know which city you would like me to play in."

Dami will officially be the third Aussie Eurovision representative to perform at the annual event after Guy Sebastian performed in Amsterdam in 2024 and Sheldon Riley in 2023.

Croatian broadcaster HRT has released the 24 songs from artists that will compete in this year’s edition of DORA.

Since HRT’s announcement last month, Karolina Ilić has been disqualified as she is not a Croatian citizen therefore she does not meet the requirements of the DORA 2026 Competition Rules. This place will now be taken by first reserve- Gabrijel Ivić and his song Light Up.

Famously, Baby Lasagna was initially on the DORA reserve list in 2024 and was only given the chance to compete when Zsa Zsa withdrew from the competition. He went on to achieve Croatia’s best result at the Eurovision Song Contest with Rim Tim Tagi Dim finishing in second place that year.
