SBS brings back Song Portal for Australia's Eurovision 2027 selection

Australian broadcaster SBS brings back Song Portal for Eurovision 2027 artist and song selection.
The Eurovision song portal is back for 2027!
The search begins for the artist and song that could represent Australia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2027 in Burgas, Bulgaria.
Every year, Australia brings its own sound and perspective to Eurovision. From Delta Goodrem’s global star power and Go-Jo’s Milkshake Man to Voyager bringing synth metal and a keytar, Electric Fields making history with Yankunytjatjara language, Dami Im’s powerhouse vocals, Kate Miller-Heidke defying gravity, and more, Australia’s Eurovision acts have always done things their own way.
Now, SBS are searching for what comes next. SBS is looking for distinctive, contemporary songs ready to connect with people on one of the world’s biggest music stages.
SBS Song Portal returns
SBS is bringing back the SBS Song Portal for Eurovision 2027, inviting artists to register their interest in representing Australia and songwriters to submit an original song for consideration.
The SBS Song Portal will be open from Saturday 17 October to Saturday 7 November 2026.
Australia’s entry for Eurovision 2027 will be chosen through an internal SBS selection process. Submitting a song or registering interest through the portal does not guarantee selection.
Eligible songs must:

Not have been released or publicly performed, in whole or in part, before Tuesday 1 September 2026
