The show, run by broadcaster SBS and their production partner Blink TV, is responsible for choosing Australia's Eurovision artist for 2022.

Here are all the details you need to know about 'Eurovision - Australia Decides':

7:00pm - NT

5:30pm - WA

10:30am - CET

Where will it be held?

The show will take place at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre. Tickets are available via Ticketek.

Which songs and artists are competing?

How will a winner of 'Eurovision - Australia Decides' be decided?

The voting will be a 50% / 50% split between the public and a jury.

Voting is open now with clips of the jury show performance available on the SBS website.

How to vote:

  • Text the song number to 0421 261 966

  • Voting is via Standard SMS (Standard text message rates apply)

  • Maximum 10 SMS votes per person (After 10 votes have been cast from any mobile phone number any more votes cast will not count)

Will there be any special guests?

Yes! Eurovision 2019 televote winners KEiiNO will be making the trip from Norway to perform at 'Eurovision - Australia Decides'. The show will be part of a national tour the group are doing. More details here.

2021 star Montaigne will also perform on the night including her 2021 entry 'Technicolour'.

What happens if an artist gets COVID?

A number of scenarios have been put in place which are:

  • If the artist in question has completed their first individual rehearsal, then that will be used as the performance clip in the show.

  • If the artist tests positive before the Live TV Final, but had performed in the Opening Night Show then the performance from the Opening Night Show will be used.

  • If they are unable to perform at the venue at all then the current plan is to use a pre-recorded reserve clip with their live vocal and it will be integrated with some elements of the lighting and stage design for their performance.
