Today Australia Decides alum Charley released her debut album The Chronicles of a Serial Idealist!
The 28-year-old Australian singer-songwriter is truly a home grown rising star with a warm and vibrant online presence to accompany her quickly growing music library. Charley has opened for the likes of icons including G Flip and Fletcher.
Charley is touring Australia in May so don't miss out! Tickets are available here.
Eurovision fans will recognise her from Eurovision - Australia Decides 2022, where she performed the ballad I Suck At Being Lonely and quickly became a fan favourite thanks to her raw delivery and stunning vocals - placing a commendable fourth in a competitive year.
Charley spoke on Instagram about her "...habit of falling for the complicated ones, the bad ideas, the beautiful messes, the situations that probably won’t work" and this album could explore the unrelenting hamster wheel of toxic positvity:
"I realised that the constant theme was toxic positivity and saying 'it is what it is' to the worst situations in the entire world and how scary the world and men are...I hope that you take the album and learn that positivity is so important but not at the expense of disrespecting yourself"
Charley speaks of travelling to Los Angeles, London, Sweden, Nashville and New Zealand to find herself and inspiration for the album. After 3 years of work and cultivating the 12 songs that resonated with her the most The Chronicles Of A Serial Idealist was born!
