Australian pop duo @bachelor.girl.official are celebrating one of Australia's most beloved pop albums with a Eurovision-flavoured twist.

Set for release on 7 August, the 15-track project sees Bachelor Girl revisit each song alongside hand-picked guest artists they've worked with, toured with or formed friendships with throughout their career.

Bachelor Girl burst onto the Australian music scene in the late 1990s with their multi-platinum debut album Waiting for the Day, which featured enduring hits including Buses and Trains, Permission to Shine, Lucky Me and more.

Front woman @taniadoko is also well known to Eurovision fans.

In 2019, she competed in Eurovision – Australia Decides with the song Piece of Me where she finished in 8th place.

While Bachelor Girl have continued to release new music and tour in recent years, Waiting for the Day: Artist Sessions sees the duo breathe new life into the album that introduced them to Australian audiences over two decades ago.

The competition sees each official fan club (eg OGAE Finland, OGAE Sweden, OGAE Germany etc) select a song that didn't win their national final to battle it out in a Eurovision-style contest.

OGAE Australia won't be competing this year as there was no Eurovision - Australia Decides.

22 entries from 22 nations and clubs will be competing.

After a whirlwind few months that saw her captivate Eurovision audiences and sell out venues across Europe, @deltagoodrem is bringing the celebration home.

Fresh from Australia's best Eurovision result in years and a run of intimate European performances, Delta has announced a special one-night-only homecoming show in Sydney next week.

Delta will perform at Liberty Hall in Sydney on Tuesday 14 July, giving Australian fans their first opportunity to celebrate her remarkable Eurovision journey in person.

Announcing the show, Delta said in an article with Rolling Stone Australia:

"After an unforgettable European adventure, I couldn't think of a better way to have a home coming celebration than by an intimate Sydney show. One city, one night, one room… I can't wait to celebrate together."

The intimate venue promises a rare opportunity to see the Australian superstar up close following one of the biggest chapters of her career.

Tickets go on general sale on Tuesday 7 July at 12:00pm AEST, with fan club members receiving early access through a pre-sale. Details in our article on our website.

Cascada represented Germany at Eurovision in 2013 with Glorious placing 21st in the Grand Final.

The act was originally a trio, but is now a solo show led by lead singer Natalie Horler.

Before the appearance at Eurovision, the then-trio had global hits including Everytime We Touch and Evacuate the Dancefloor.

Announcing the tour on social media, Cascada posted:

"We're coming back to Australia and will be performing in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast and the Gold Coast . Grab your tickets now! Can't wait to see you."

Last year, she performed at Australia's largest LGBTQIA+ music event, Sydney's Raydia Festival.

Joining Cascada on the tour are special guests Darren Bailie, Guru Josh Project and Nick Skitz.

It has been 11 years since Australia joined and first participated at Eurovision.

We've compiled a list of each country ranked 44th to 1st based on the number of total combined jury and televote points awarded in Grand Finals. It is noted that some countries have taken absences from the Contest in the last 11 years, including five in 2026.

It has been 11 years since Australia joined and first participated at Eurovision.

We've compiled a list of each country ranked 44th to 1st based on the number of total combined jury and televote points awarded in Grand Finals. It is noted that some countries have taken absences from the Contest in the last 11 years, including five in 2026.

Bulgarian tennis player @grigordimitrov has revealed he would consider hosting Eurovision 2027 after Bulgaria's historic victory earlier this year.

The former world no.3 has made the semi-finals of the Australian Open, Wimbledon and US Open in his career.

Speaking to journalist @benrothenbergwrites during Wimbledon for his Substack Bounces, the Bulgarian said he'd seen speculation linking him to the role following Dara's Eurovision win.

"That was so cool, huh?" Grigor said.

"That was amazing. I'm so happy for Dara, like honestly, when I saw it, I thought of that [winning], because it's so much fun. And the next one will be in Bulgaria."

When Ben suggested he could personally host the contest, Grigor revealed there had already been informal conversations about the possibility.

"Yeah, yeah. There were a few conversations about it. Not direct — no one asked me directly; I don't want to start anything here."

"But I was like, I think I would be OK being on the stage and talking? But we need somebody good [beside me]. Like, I can hold my ground there. But no, it's fun."

Asked whether he would actually take on the role, Grigor said he was open to the possibility.

"I don't know, but I might consider it, depending on the schedules and everything."

"But I'm very... I'm kind of curious for some reason. Like, can you picture me being a host?"

After Ben replied that he could, Grigor laughed before adding:

"Yeah... I appreciate that. I gotta warm up, I gotta try. But I need somebody next to me, just to carry me through the first time."

"But no, truly I'm very happy for that, though. Like, it's so great for the country, and I'm very curious how they're going to do the next one. I'm very, very curious."

Ben also revealed that after the press conference, Grigor said he is friends with a member of Dara's security team and mentioned Bulgarian actress Nina Dobrev as another name that has been discussed as a potential Eurovision 2027 host.

Although he acknowledged he has no presenting experience, Grigor appeared keen to give it a go.

"I'm happy to try," he told Ben.
