Malaysia’s Eurovision Asia 2026 representative Aina Abdul has released her entry, Bluest Sky, for the inaugural contest.

The song was written by Aina herself and produced by her longtime musical director, arranger and co-producer Mac Chew.

Aina is one of Malaysia’s best-known singers, songwriters and actresses, recognised for her powerful vocals, emotional music and bold fashion choices. She rose to fame with hits including Terus Hidup.

Who is Aina Abdul?

Aina Abdul was internally selected to represent Malaysia at the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia in August.

Her selection was announced during AJL: Anugerah Juara Lagu, Malaysia’s annual music awards show.

A total of ten artists competed in the 40th edition of the competition on Saturday 15 August, with this year’s event featuring an added prize: the opportunity to represent Malaysia on the international stage.

Broadcast live from Unifi Arena in Bukit Jalil, the event celebrated 40 years of Malaysian music while also looking towards the future of the country’s music scene.

Aina will now take that music to the international stage, representing Malaysia at the first Eurovision Song Contest Asia in Bangkok.

Eurovision Song Contest Asia

Malaysia will compete at the first Eurovision Song Contest Asia, which will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, on Saturday 14 November.

The inaugural contest will bring together artists and broadcasters from across the Asia-Pacific region for the first edition of the new Eurovision event.
