Today we look back at all the latest music releases, videos, show and tour news from Australian Eurovision and ‘Eurovision - Australia Decides’ artists throughout October.

Isaiah Firebrace - 'Fight For Change'

ABC TV - The School That Tried To End Racism

The Australian public broadcaster ABC has produced a segment on Eurovision 2017 artist Isaiah Firebrace's push for more education about indigenous cultures in school's across Australia. It is a beautiful story that Isaiah is passionate about sharing. The segment is from 'The School That Tried To End Racism' which you can watch in full on ABC iView.


In other exciting news Isaiah is making his debut in 'Australia Decides', with the possibility of returning to Eurovision. He was revealed as the first batch of artists to be announced by SBS for 'Eurovision - Australia Decides' 2022 along with Australian Idol star Paulini and Australia Decides 2020 artist Jaguar Jonze.



Guy Sebastian & Jessica Mauboy - ‘The Voice’ & ‘The Voice Generations’

Seven Network - 2022


During the Seven Network's up fronts for their programming schedule for the 2022 television season, the network once again confirmed that ‘The Voice’ franchise would be expanded to include the first season of ‘The Voice Generations’.


They also confirmed that Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, Rita Ora and Keith Urban would appear as judges on both the regular and the generational version of the show airing in 2022.

Sheppard - ‘Dance In The Glow’ EP

Released: 5 October 2021



'Eurovision - Australia Decides 2019' artists Sheppard this month released the third of their EP's that they were releasing in the space of three weeks.


The band described the EP on their social media as “For the glass half full crowd, those that forge their own path, celebrate every day and set sail to new adventures… this collection is for you. Six Sheppard songs from the archives reminding us that no matter what, we can always Dance In The Glow.”


Also, congratulations and best wishes from the Aussievision team on the wedding of Amy Sheppard and her partner Lachlan. The band are set to release a new song on November 3, with the newly wed couple on the single artwork.




Gabi Newman featuring Tania Doko - ‘Remind Me’

Released: 5 October 2021


Bachelor Girl’s Tania Doko from 'Eurovision - Australia Decides 2019' has collaborated with Spanish DJ/producer Gabi Newman in club dance track called 'Remind Me'.


The track was made from all parts of the world from Melbourne, Stockholm to Barcelona. The pair co-wrote the song with Cameron McGlinchey (originally part of the Australian group Rouge Traders) and Didirk Franzen (Swedish producer and songwriter who is known for his collaboration with Fall Out Boy on 'Uma Thurman').


Tania has described on her socials that the song is about "celebrating your authentic self, your tribe, and that LOVE is LOVE."



In other news Tania is taking part in a new podcast series called 'Sound Minds'. The podcast takes a peek inside the music studio and inside the minds of some very different artists, producers and songwriters. It is hosted by Grace McCallum. The first episode launched on October 26, check it out.



Aydan - ‘Grow Up!’

Released: 8 October 2021


'Eurovision - Australia Decides 2019' competitor Aydan released his latest single 'Grow Up!'


'Grow Up!' hasn't been the easiest release for Aydan. It was originally planned to be released back in July, but was unfortunately rescheduled due to lockdown measures implemented due to Australia's current coronavirus outbreak. You can read more about the release here.


The music video for 'Grow Up!' was released on October 21 .


In other news Aydan will be a cast member in the Australian debut of the award winning musical JAGGED LITTLE PILL. The musical inspired by the seminal rock album of the same name by seven-time Grammy Award winner Alanis Morissette, JAGGED LITTLE PILL is an “electrifying, visceral and stunning” (The Hollywood Reporter) new musical with an original story. Aydan will be playing the character of ‘Phoenix’ when it hits the stage in Sydney next month and Melbourne in January. Tickets available from here.



Jaguar Jonze - ‘WHO DIED AND MADE YOU KING?’

Released: 8 October 2021


Jaguar Jonze has release her epic comeback single ‘WHO DIED AND MADE YOU KING?’ and she is here to take back her power and voice!


The music video is very impactful with tones of beige, browns and creams with flecks of red coming out strong. It was filmed in the 1920-1930's style heritage listed Brisbane City Hall in Brisbane, Queensland. Check out more about the release here.


In other exciting news Jaguar Jonze is making a return to 'Australia Decides'. She was revealed as the first batch of artists to be announced by SBS for 'Eurovision - Australia Decides' 2022 along with Australian Idol star Paulini and Eurovision 2017 artist Isaiah Firebrace.



Jordan Anthony - ‘Firing Line’ (Official Music Video)

Released: 15 October 2021


Following Jordan Anthony's new music release for 'Firing Line' on October 1, the Australian Junior Eurovision artist released the music video on October 15. The music video was filmed in a club lounge called Baxter's in Perth.


In other news Jordan was at the film premiere of 'Fading Numbers'. The Australian film is about a journalist researching her grandfather's involvement in the war, interviews a Holocaust survivor, learning that the survivor had once known her grandfather and failed to help them, leading her to lose everything. Jordan wrote the feature song for the film, also called 'Fading Numbers' with the song release expected soon.



Montaigne - ‘Now (In Space)’

Released: 22 October 2021


Australia's Eurovision 2021 representative Montaigne released the debut single 'Now (In Space)' from her upcoming third studio album. Montaigne's intergalactic third album, whose title is yet to be revealed, will be released in 2022, following on from her 2019 sophomore album 'Complex'. Olivia Newton-John - ‘Physical (Deluxe Edition)’ 40th anniversary

Released: 22 October 2021


It has been 40 years since Olivia Newton-John released to the world her studio album 'Physical'. To mark the occasion the album has been released as a deluxe edition along with 'Remastered 2021' versions of all the songs and additional tracks. The title track and single 'Physical' was a worldwide No. 1 single reaching the top spot in Australia, Canada, Belgium, New Zealand, Switzerland and the Unites States (where it remained at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for 10 weeks).

‘Physical (Deluxe Edition)’ is available on music streaming platforms and is available in a physical 2 CD set (there are some delays with the physical version in some countries). It also comes in a package with a DVD of 'Olivia in Concert'. A vinyl version is also available for pre-order and expected to be released in May 2022. Alfie Arcuri - ‘Devils Lips'

Released: 29 October 2021


The Voice Australia 2016 winner and ‘Eurovision - Australia Decides' 2019 entrant Alfie Arcuri has dropped his latest infectious pop release ‘Devils Lips’.


His new release today ‘Devil’s Lips’ comes with a rather juicy music video with peach-clad muscled men dancing to the infectious beat. It is the first release of his upcoming EP ‘Way Up High’ set for release next year showcasing a cheekier and darker side of The Voice Australia 2016 winner. Dami Im - ‘My Reality’ LP

Released: 29 October 2021


Australia's Eurovision 2016 representative Dami Im has released her long awaited new album, 'MY REALITY'. Before the album dropped Dami released ‘Pray’ on October 8.


The album sees Dami take a creative stance on the album, writing and co-writing every track, with the majority of the songs written during the COVID pandemic. Instead of meeting with collaborators face-to-face, Dami met with them over Zoom.


This Sunday, October 31, Dami will unveil 'MY REALITY' with a special online, live music launch for fans from 7.00pm AEDT saying, “I really hope people can join me as I play songs from the album tonight – it is so exciting to see it come to life and make its way out into the world! It is a very special and personal album for me. Please join me to celebrate!”. Check out further details on how to watch here.



Tour news:


Kate Miller-Heidke - New live shows and 'Wildflowers Festival'


It month has been a big month of tour news for our Eurovision 2019 representative Kate Miller-Heidke.


She firstly announced two shows in Queensland in November. She will be performing on November 19 at the J Theatre in Noosa, and on November 20 at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre in Bundaberg.



It was also announced this month that Kate will be performing at the inaugural 'Wildflower Festival' in 2022, which is celebrating women in music. She will be performing alongside some Aussie music royalty in Missy Higgins and Kasey Chambers. Get your tickets here.


The 'Wildflower Festival' is happening at Rochford Wines in Victoria’s Yarra Valley on March 12, Riverstage in Brisbane on March 19 and Rochie Estate in the Hunter Valley on April 2.



Mitch Tambo - First Stories Festival 2022

February/March 2022 - Theatre Works, St Kilda, Victoria


Across February and March of 2022, Theatre Works will present the inaugural FIRST STORIES FESTIVAL – a Deadly new writers festival for First Nations storytellers, proudly delivered#ByMob4Mob.


The festival is led by industry professionals Brittanie Shipway and Sermsah Bin Saad, and will feature sessions from esteemed creative mentors including musician Mitch Tambo (Australia’s Got Talent and Australia Decides 2020), playwright Jane Harrison (Stolen, Rainbow’s End), actor Uncle Jack Charles (Mystery Road, Blackfellas), dramaturg Kamarra Bell-Wykes (Chopped Liver) and more. Vanessa Amorosi touring with Icehouse

May 2022 - Queensland, Australia


Legendary Aussie band Icehouse are going on tour next year to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the release of their classic song ‘Great Southern Land’.


They are having several special guests at each show, and one of them at two of the shows is the 'Eurovision - Australia Decides 2020' competitor Vanessa Amorosi. She’ll be performing at the show in Toowoomba on May 7 and the show at Jacobs Well on the Gold Coast the following day. Check this website for more info.
