New music and tour news from Australian Eurovision artists - Tania Doko, Sheppard, Dami Im and more



Today we run through all of the latest music releases, videos, shows, and tour news from Australian Eurovision and ‘Eurovision - Australia Decides’ artists over the last couple months from August to September, and look ahead to what’s coming up in October.



Television:


Dami Im - 'Celebrity Masterchef Australia'

Ten Network - October 10 2021



A new season of ‘Celebrity MasterChef’ is set to air on the Ten Network on October 10, following the final of ‘The Masked Singer Australia’. The revived new show will feature Australia’s 2016 representative Dami Im. She will compete against some of Australia’s best-known athletes, actors, comedians, and celebrities for the title, you can check out the full line up here.


Dami also made a surprise appearance on Channel 9’s ‘The Block’ on Monday night. As a friend from the music industry. She helped out contestants Kirsty and Jesse film their Domain promotional video to sell their house as part of this week’s challenge. Unfortunately Kirsty and Jesse were pipped by Ronnie and Georgia by half a point.

Courtney Act - 'Dancing With the Stars: All Stars'

Seven Network - 2022



Courtney Act has announced that she will once again be competing for the crown when ‘Dancing with the Stars’ makes its all-stars return on the Seven Network early next year. The season will feature ten previous contestants competing for the crown, alongside four Seven Network wildcards.



Courtney previously competed on the show’s sixteenth season in 2019. She finished in runner-up spot losing the crown to actor and philanthropist Samuel Johnson.



In other related Courtney Act news, the ‘Eurovision - Australia Decides 2019’ star announced her upcoming memoir ‘Caught in the Act’, which is scheduled to be released in Australia on November 2. A date for worldwide release is still to be confirmed.

New Music and Videos:


Montaigne - 'My Life Is Better With You'

Released: 13 August 2021



Australia’s 2021 Eurovision representative Montaigne, officially released her latest new single, 'My Life Is Better With You'.


Montaigne first dropped the hint back on July 5. It is Montaigne’s first new song release post Eurovision. 'My Life Is Better With You' was written for the podcast 'My Brother, My Brother & Me'. The podcast is by three brothers and is best described as a “comedy advice show”. Check out more about the release here.


In other news new dates have been announced for her 'Back From Europe Tour'. The shows have been rescheduled due to Covid lockdowns. You can buy tickets here.



Rocco Bene featuring Tania Doko - 'Andiamo'

Released: 19 August 2021



Bachelor Girl’s Tania Doko from 'Eurovision - Australia Decides 2019' has collaborated with Sydney based artist Rocco Bene in a song where Rocco took a heart breaking personal loss and turned it into a dance track called 'Andiamo'.


The track was born no more than a week after Rocco had scattered his beloved mother’s ashes in Capri. Encouraged by Tania, Rocco wrote the song in memory of his mother.


The pair also released remixes of 'Andiamo' on September 19 with Ruff Loaderz, you can check them out here.


In exciting news Tania announced through her socials that she is working on more solo music and possibly a new album. We can't wait to see what she has install.



Guy Sebastian - 'Believer'

Released: 20 August 2021



Australia's first Eurovision representative, Guy Sebastian, released 'Believer', his seventh single off his latest album ‘T.R.U.T.H.’. Guy teamed up to co-write the song with Steve Solomon and David Hodges (from the band Evanescence). You can read up more about the song here.



It was announced this month that Guy Sebastian’s national tour 'T.R.U.T.H.', which was due to take place in November / December 2021, has been rescheduled to April and May 2022. This is due to ongoing COVID restrictions and uncertainty surrounding border restrictions.

Mitch Tambo - 'Heal'

Released: 3 September 2021



'Eurovision - Australia Decides 2020' artist, Australia's Got Talent finalist and rising First Nations artist Mitch Tambo released his new song, 'Heal'.


'Heal' is written by Bernadette Duncan (who co-wrote previous Mitch Tambo single 'LOVE'), Rhys Tolhurst and co-written by Mitch Tambo. It is produced by Rob Amoruso who also produced 'Dreamtime Princess'.


The song is very close to the singers heart. Mitch was 22 years old when his father was diagnosed with cancer. He used the song writing process during 'Heal' to help deal with his grief after losing his father to cancer in 2012.

It was also announced this month that Mitch Tambo will be a mentor in the First Stories Festival in 2022, which will be a week-long writer’s festival for First Nations and Torres Strait Islander people.


It will be held at Theatre Works in Melbourne in the last week of February next year.



Jack Vidgen - ‘Goodbye'

Released: 10 September 2021



'Eurovision - Australia Decides 2020' entrant Jack Vidgen, released his latest single, ‘Goodbye’. It is his third song release of the year after 'PRAY' came out in February and 'Love Me Lonely' was released in June.


'Goodbye' is written by Jack Vidgen, along with Justin Martins, Madeline Crabtree and Matt Riley, who also produced it. Jack previously worked with the same team on 'Love Me Lonely'. You can read more about the release here.




Sheppard - ‘Love Was Never Easy' EP

Released: 21 September 2021



'Eurovision - Australia Decides 2019' competitors Sheppard are currently in the midst of releasing three digital EP's over the course of three weeks. The first of these, ‘Love Was Never Easy’, was released on September 21.



The first EP features 'Let Me Down Easy' from their first EP 'Sheppard' (which was also included on their debut album 'Bombs Away'), 'The Best Is Yet To Come' from their first album release 'Bombs Away', 'Sorry' and 'Live For You' from the 'Watching the Sky' album, and 'Somebody Like You' and 'Don't Believe In Love' from their latest album Kaleidoscope Eyes.


As described on the bands socials, this EP is "for the broken hearted, the heart breakers, the optimistic romantics and those at war with love."



Jaguar Jonze - ‘ANTIHERO' short film

Released: 23 September 2021



‘Eurovision - Australia Decides 2020’ artist, Deena Lynch aka Jaguar Jonze, released her full ‘ANTIHERO’ short film showcasing songs featured in her sophomore EP ‘ANTIHERO’ released back in April this year. The ‘ANTIHERO’ short film sees Jaguar Jonze's full concept for the EP comes to fruition where all five music videos from the EP tie in together. Check out more about the short film here.



The Wiggles & Dami Im - 'We're All Fruit Salad'

Released: 23 September 2021



Australia's Eurovision powerhouse, Dami Im, one of Australia's biggest bands The Wiggles, in a fun performance of 'We're All Fruit Salad', sung in English and Korean. The video celebrates the 60th anniversary of Australian - Korean diplomatic relations.




In other exciting music news, Dami revealed that she is set to release her newest single 'Pray' on October 8. The song is about finding hope and light in a really dark situation. You can pre-save the song right here.



Sheppard - ‘Highest of Highs' EP

Released: 28 September 2021



The second EP from the band's exclusive releases is ‘Highest of Highs'.


It features their biggest hit 'Geronimo' from 'Bombs Away', their 'Eurovision - Australia Decides' anthemic entry 'On My Way', 'Edge of the Night' and 'Hometown' from 'Watching the Sky' and 'Symphony' and 'Brand New' from their third album Kaleidoscope Eyes.


This EP is dedicated "for the coupled up, the dreamers and those who just love love in all its ways".


Their third EP in this set will be released October 5, also featuring six songs.


Sheppard are set to perform tonight as part of the 2021 NRL Grand Final Celebrations. Those of you in Brisbane can go see the band perform in King George Square from 6pm local time tonight. Entry is free. (Check their socials for updates due to ongoing Covid restrictions)



Jordan Anthony - ‘Firing Line'

Released: 1 October 2021



Australia's 2019 Junior Eurovision artist Jordan Anthony has released his third single this year with the new song 'Firing Line'.


He previously released the song 'Loud' in January and 'Broken Love' back in June. The music video is expected to be released soon. Read more about his new release here.



New Tours and Shows:


Dami Im - 'Milbi Festival'

29 October 2021, Bundaberg, Queensland



This week it was announced that Dami Im will be performing as a headline act for the 'Milbi Festival' Sunset Launch in Bunderberg, Queensland on October 29 from 4.30-6.30pm at Nielson Park Beach, Bargara.


The 'Milbi Festival' will begin with a smoking ceremony as the sun sets over the beach. The event is free. No bookings required, for more info check out the festival's website.



Electric Fields - 'Factory Summer Festival'

December 2021 - Perth and Brisbane

'Eurovision - Australia Decides 2019' runner-up Electric Fields are performing at the 'Factory Summer Festival' in December, which is taking place across several dates in both Perth and Brisbane.



Fans in Perth can go watch the duo perform on December 18, while those in Brisbane can go see them on New Years Eve.




Guy Sebastian - 'Guy Sebastian Intimate Uluru Concert'

May 2022 - Northern Territory



Guy Sebastian has partnered with Imagine Holidays for a four night tour package to Alice Springs and Uluru on May 28 2022.


There are silver, gold and platinum packages to choose from. Those lucky enough to secure tickets on the tour will not only get to explore Uluru and other NT sites, but get to witness an intimate performance by Guy Sebastian on the 4th night during sunset. Jessica Mauboy - 'The Boss Lady Tour'

March / April 2022 - Australia


In August Australia's Eurovision 2018 representative Jessica Mauboy announced her national 'The Boss Lady Tour' set for 2022. 'The Boss Lady Tour' includes eight dates on the mainland, where she will be supported by Caiti Baker. This will be Jessica's first tour since her 2017 'All the Hits Live – The Australian Tour'. Jessica will also be headlining the 'Yarrabah Music and Cultural Festival'. Described as one of the world's most unique music festivals, it will feature dozens of indigenous Australian artists when it takes place on April 30 2022. Check out the festivals website for more information.



Kate Miller - Heidke - ‘Child in Reverse Tour'

July 2022 - Australia


Kate Miller-Heidke’s ‘Child in Reverse’ tour has been forced to be rescheduled to 2022 due to the uncertainty surrounding nation-wide internal state border closures and coronavirus restrictions.

“We really tried, but this year, the C-word has made zipping across the country playing shows simply impossible right now. We are, in a word, devastated. But, with a sense of determined optimism, we’re picking ourselves up and looking ahead to July 2022. Let’s see each other then!”

Despite her tour being rescheduled, Kate was still able to perform at the BrisFestival in Brisbane, featuring in multiple free performances around the city, including doing three in one day, where she performed different songs each time for any fans who might be going to see all of them.



Kate will also be featuring alongside 'Australia Decides 2019' competitor Tania Doko at the 'Rock the Bay Festival' next weekend on October 9. Tania Doko will be performing at the festival as a special guest virtually as a member of Bachelor Girl, as will other special guest Kate Ceberano. Kate Miller Heidke will also be performing at the 2021 NRL Grand Final, which is taking place this Sunday night. She will sing the National Anthem before the match, and fans can tune in to watch her on Channel 9.



Mark Vincent - 'National tour from London's West End to Broadway'

March - May 2022, Australia


'Eurovision - Australia Decides 2019' artist Mark Vincent announced that his latest tour, 'National tour from London's West End to Broadway' has been postponed to 2022 due to ongoing lockdowns and restrictions in New South Wales. The tour will now start in Caloundra, Queensland in March 2022. He will be joined by Mirusia and the Australia Symphony Orchestra. Get your tickets here.


Mark's 'The Impossible Dream' Tour is still expected to go ahead in December 2021 in Tamworth, ending in February 2022 in Bankstown, Sydney.
