'Eurovision - Australia Decides 2020' entrant Jack Vidgen, has released a new single, ‘Goodbye’.
Last week Jack revealed on his socials that he would be releasing his new single which follows Jack’s previous single ‘Love Me Lonely’ back in June. It is his third song release of the year after 'PRAY' came out in February.
Jack explains the journey he went on with 'Goodbye':
"The songs I’ve been writing over the last year have all been part of my healing process. I started that healing when I went to rehab in August last year for substance abuse. This songs about my journey with addiction and saying goodbye to something that’s been there for me, almost like a friend, but came too close to killing me. Scared to share this song with you. I hope you like it."
'Goodbye' is written by Jack Vidgen, along with Justin Martins, Madeline Crabtree and Matt Riley, who also produced it. Jack previously worked with the same team on 'Love Me Lonely'.
Jack Vidgen rose to fame in 2011 as a baby-faced teenager winning ‘Australia’s Got Talent’. His incredible vocals drew a lot of attention, and it was no surprise he won the competition. After 'AGT', Jack released two albums, with one going platinum, and then he took a break from music. However, he returned in 2019 and competed in ‘The Voice' and in 2020, Jack entered ‘Eurovision - Australia Decides’ performing his incredible song ‘I am King, I am Queen’. Not staying out of the limelight for long, in early 2021 Jack appeared on ‘I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! Australia’.
'Goodbye' is available now on iTunes and streaming on Spotify and Apple Music.
