Australian magazine Woman’s Day has made unconfirmed reports that Delta Goodrem will compete at Eurovision in Vienna.

The 23 February edition of Woman’s Day (already out in stores) is reporting that Delta Goodrem will be announced as Australia’s representative for Eurovision 2026.

Under the headline “Delta’s Heading to Eurovision!”, the magazine writes that “insiders reveal that the songbird, 41, will be announced as Australia’s big hope in the coming weeks, jetting off to Vienna, Austria, in May to represent her country for the 70th anniversary of the show.”

The publication adds that a source said: “Delta sees it as the perfect way to break into the coveted European market and has been telling friends she’s really excited to represent Australia.

It also claims Delta “has been secretly working on her routine and ‘already has ideas of what direction her performance would take’.”

Delta has long been rumoured as a potential Eurovision contender.

She topped our fan survey for the second straight year as the artist readers most want to see represent Australia.

About Delta Goodrem

The 41-year-old singer-songwriter broke onto the scene in the early 2000s with Innocent Eyes, which remains the second-highest-selling album in Australian history.

She also scored five UK top 10 singles and has maintained a strong international profile through touring and television roles, including as a coach on The Voice Australia.

More recently, she released the 2024 single Hearts on the Run, while her 2021 album Bridge Over Troubled Dreams debuted at number one in Australia.

In June 2025, Delta told The Sun, “Of course I would do Eurovision. I love it!”

Could this Australia Eurovision 2026 rumour be true?

She is scheduled to perform in Fiji from 20–26 April 2026, leaving time to travel to Vienna for rehearsals in early May if selected.

At this stage, neither SBS nor Delta has officially confirmed the report.

As always with pre-selection speculation, until an announcement is made, it remains speculation.
