Today we go through all the latest music releases, videos, show and tour news from the following Australian Eurovision and ‘Eurovision - Australia Decides’ artists over the month of March.


New Music and Videos:


Montaigne - ‘Technicolour’ Australia's 2021 Eurovision entry

Released: 5 March 2021



March was a big month for Eurovision 2021 song releases with more than half of the songs being released. Montaigne premiered her Eurovision entry to represent Australia at Rotterdam on Triple J on March 4. If you haven’t already you can check more about Montaigne’s Eurovision entry here. Montaigne’s Mardi Gras performance of the song was uploaded onto the official Eurovision YouTube channel on March 10.



Montaigne - ‘My Life is Better With You’ ('My Brother, My Brother and Me' Podcast theme song) Revealed: 15 March 2021



Montaigne is the new artist behind the theme song for the 'My Brother, My Brother and Me' podcast aka MBMBaM. The podcast features Justin McElroy, Travis Mc Elroy and Griffin McElroy who are all brothers and give out advice for the modern era. The song was revealed on episode ‘552: Introducing Fredo Cooljazz’ which Montaigne was a special “guestpert” on. You can find a link to the episode here. Guy Sebastian - ‘Only Missing Thing (Lyric Video)’ Released: 15 March 2021


Last month Guy Sebastian released his sixth single, ‘Only Thing Missing’, from his latest album ‘T.R.U.T.H.’. This bubbly little dance number was written in the thick of lockdown, at a Zoom song writing camp. These Zoom writing camps were new ways the music industry adapted during the Covid restrictions and lockdowns. The official music video is set to drop any day now.


Dami Im - ‘Lonely Cactus’ (Alternate Video) Released: 17 March 2021



Last month Dami Im released her new single ‘Lonely Cactus’ just in time for her solo tour 'Piano, Songs & Stories’ which recently wrapped up. On March 17 Dami released an alternate video for ‘Lonely Cactus’ directed by Josh Pulford, who has previously directed music video for musician Jack Gray. It show cases Dami dining at a candlelit supper with plush toys, and eating cactus! A week later Dami Im released a lyric video for her latest single.

Dami Im - ‘Lonely Cactus’ (Live at Q+A) Released: 26 March 2021


Dami Im didn’t stop with her promotion of her latest single, she got the opportunity to perform ‘Lonely Cactus’ on ABC’s ‘Q+A’, which is an Australian panel discussion program where guests, mostly politicians. answer questions from the audience.

In unfortunate news, Bluesfest, that both Dami Im and Kate Miller-Heidke were set to perform, in Byron Bay has been cancelled this weekend due to a Covid cluster and current restrictions.


Vanessa Amorosi - ‘VOL. 1’ EP

Released: 26 March 2021


‘Eurovision - Australia Decides 2020’ artist Vanessa Amorosi has released a new EP, ‘VOL 1’ which features six tracks of soul and gospel music. The EP also features a duet with the American Gospel singer Anthony Evans called ‘God Didn’t Make Us All The Same’. You can check out more about the release here.

Sheppard - Live from the Airport Runway Performance

Released: 30 March 2021, Gold Coast Airport, Queensland



Sheppard have performed on the Gold Coast Airport Runway to promote their new album, ‘Kaleidoscope Eyes’, and perform some of their past hits. You can check out our article on the album release here.


Montaigne - Montaigne Live at the Alex

8 April 2021 7.30PM, Alexander Theatre, Monash University, Victoria

Montaigne is set to perform at the Alexander Theatre, The Ian Potter Centre for Performing Arts at Monash University in Victoria. She will be accompanied with support act with Melbourne songwriter Eilish Gilligan. Get more details and tickets here.


Montaigne - Eurovision PreParty ES 2021

24 April 2021 22.00 CET, online


Montaigne has also been announced as one of four Eurovision 2021 acts for Eurovision PreParty ES (Eurovision Spain) which is set to take place online on YouTube on April 24 at 22.00 CET. Get more details here.


Kate Miller-Heidke - Sunshine Sounds Festival

1-2 May 2021 10AM to 10PM, Eumundi Showgrounds, Queensland


Australia’s 2019 Eurovision representative Kate Miller-Heidke is set to perform at the ‘Sunshine Sounds Festival’ on May 1-2 in the Sunshine Coast with 100% Queensland, 50% First Nations, 50% Sunshine Coast and 75% female artists. The festival will feature many artists including Katie Noonan and Miiesha, they will be performing at the Eumundi Showgrounds. You can get tickets here.


Bachelor Girl - Sight & Sound Festival

2 May 2021, 12.00pm AEST, Memo Music Hall, Victoria


‘Eurovision - Australia Decides 2019’ artist Tania Doko will reunite with James Roche to perform as the pop duo Bachelor Girl in the Sight & Sound Festival at the Memo Music Hall. The Sight & Sound Festival will be an indoor and outdoor event showcasing locally made music, music videos and short films and the best of established and emerging female artists from around Melbourne. Tania Doko - 'Seven Wonders – The Music of Fleetwood Mac Orchestrated'

11 June 2021, Palais Theatre, St.Kilda, Victoria


After the shows' success in Sydney, Tania Doko will continue to take part in 'Seven Wonders - Orchestral Tribute to Fleetwood Mac' in Melbourne. The show features all of Fleetwood Mac’s Greatest Hits - 'Dreams', 'The Chain', 'Everywhere', 'Tusk', 'Rhiannon', 'Landslide', 'Go Your Own Way', 'Little Lies', 'Seven Wonders' and more. The songs are performed by a 24 Piece Symphony Orchestra Conducted by George Ellis.


The show includes Special Guest Vocalists Tania Doko (Bachelor Girl), Kate DeAraugo, Prinnie Stevens and Mark Williams. For the Melbourne show it will take place at the Palais Theatre on Friday June 11 in St. Kilda. You can get tickets here.


Bachelor Girl - SUNSET SOUNDS

13 June 2021, Carins Showgrounds, Queensland

Bachelor Girl will also be heading to Queensland for the SUNSET SOUNDS festival which will feature Australia’s finest 70’s, 80’s and 90’s rock and pop musicians including Ian Moss, Richard Clapton, Shannon Noll and more. Get your tickets here.


Jack Vidgen - ‘DON’T YOU F*#KN START ME’ 16 July 2021, 6.00pm AEST, The Oxford Art Factory, Sydney


‘Eurovision - Australia Decides 2020’ artist Jack Vidgen released his latest single ‘Pray’ last month, which has since reached No. 1 on the Australian Indie chart. Jack revealed a new live show called ‘DON’T YOU F*#KN START ME’ at The Oxford Art Factory on Friday July 16 in Sydney. There will be two shows on the night. You can get tickets here.
