Eurovision 2015 Australian representative Guy Sebastian has released his new album ‘T.R.U.T.H.’. It’s his ninth studio album and it comes 3 years after its predecessor ‘Conscious’.
A steady stream of singles from the album have been released since November 2018, with the album eventually being confirmed in July this year. The first single ‘Before I Go’ went platinum in Australia and the Netherlands, and the second single ‘Choir’ peaked at number 7 on the Australian Aria chart. ‘Choir’ also won Best Video at the 2019 Aria Awards. ‘Standing with You’ was released in June 2020 and peaked at number 10 on the Aria chart.
The most recent single ‘Love on Display’ was released on 25th September to coincide with the day the album was available for pre-ordered.
In a recent social media post Guy talked about the importance of having the right team around him. For ‘T.R.U.T.H.’ he teamed up with some familiar names from his previous albums, including producer M-Phazes (who has also worked with Madonna, Eminem, and Amy Shark) and song writer Sarah Aarons (who has co-written with Justin Timberlake, Camila Cabello and David Guetta).
He has also teamed up with some new names including David Hodges (from the band Evanescence), and Shungudzo who also features on one of the tracks.
To coincide with the album release, Guy also announced an Australian Tour for November and December 2021. In the announcement he said “By then we should all be safe and cool to congregate, so I can’t wait to get out on the road”. The tour will travel to capital cities and regional centres around the country.
