Eurovision artists land on the ARIA 2021 Annual Charts

This week the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) revealed their Annual Charts, reflecting the music in Australia for 2021.

It was an interesting year, we had two Eurovision winning artists make an appearance on the ARIA Singles and Album charts.

A couple Australian Eurovision representative's also did well, Guy Sebastian's 2020 album release stayed strong on the charts and Montaigne's song '1955' with the Hilltop Hoods managed to still be popular on the 'Australian Singles' chart despite being released back in 2016.

Let's take a look at songs and albums by Eurovision artists that managed to land on the ARIA 2021 Annual Charts:

Other ARIA chart achievements

In the first half of the year Duncan Laurence's Eurovision 2019 winning song 'Arcade' was accredited platinum status (over 70,000 units sold) by ARIA despite missing out on the ARIA Top 50 Singles chart.

2021 Eurovision winners Måneskin managed to chart in Australia after their win. They managed to appear with two songs on the ARIA Top 50 Singles chart. Their viral cover hit 'Beggin' peaked at No. 3 and their third single release from 'Teatro d'ira: Vol. I', 'I Wanna Be Your Slave' peaked at No. 15.

Eurovision winners from 1974, ABBA, made a huge return with their first album release in 40 years. 'Voyage' managed to top the ARIA Top 50 Albums chart. They also managed to score two singles on the ARIA Top 50 Singles chart.

The Eurovision 2021 soundtrack album managed to land on the ARIA Top 50 Albums chart at No. 23. ARIA revealed that the Eurovision soundtracks have appeared in the Top 50 every year for the last ten years!

Australia Eurovision royalty Dami Im released her sixth studio album, 'My Reality' in 2021. All the songs from the album were co-written by Dami herself. 'My Reality' reached No. 12 on the ARIA Album chart in November. It is Dami's fifth top 20 album in Australia.
