A unique cross-cultural collaboration has taken shape as Australian pop icon Guy Sebastian and renowned songwriter Louis Schoorl come together once again, this time, to pen the song ULSSIGU for K-pop sensation Lim Young Woong’s highly anticipated album IM HERO 2.

Guy Sebastian took the stage for Australia’s Eurovision debut in 2015 with the upbeat anthem Tonight Again, which created a successful creative partnership between Sebastian and Dutch-Australian producer/songwriter Louis Schoorl.

The dynamic duo have reunited once again, not for another Eurovision entry, but for an unexpected and exciting new project in the world of K-pop.

The track, titled ULSSIGU, is one of the standout songs on Lim Young Woong’s sophomore album IM HERO 2.

The song is a collaboration with Woong, Sebastian, Schrool and Australia born songwriter, producer and artist, Ned Houston.

ULSSIGU is rich with melodic hooks and textured production which adds a refreshing pop edge to the album, which otherwise leans heavily on Lim’s roots in ballad and trot genres.

Both Sebastian and Schoorl are no strangers to writing hits. Their Eurovision entry Tonight Again not only earned Australia a top 5 finish in its first ever Eurovision appearance, but also showcased their ability to blend infectious melodies with emotionally resonant lyrics.

Back in August, the pair collaborated on Sebastian's latest album release, 100 Times Around the Sun, where they co-wrote the song Afterlife.

Schoorl is no stranger within the Eurovision world having also co-written Can We Make Heaven for Diana Rouvas (2020) and Little Fires for Jaguar Jonze (2022), both of which featured in Eurovision – Australia Decides. In 2018 Schoorl co-wrote Benjamin Ingrosso's Eurovision entry for Sweden, Dance You Off. The song finished in 7th place at the Eurovision Grand Final in Lisbon.

Lim Young Woong rose to fame after winning the competitive music show Mr. Trot in 2020. In 2021 the young singer reached number one for the first time with his song My Starry Love topping the Gaon Digital Chart.

His first album IM HERO, released in 2022, shattered sales records, and expectations were sky-high for its follow-up.

IM HERO 2 doesn't disappoint, blending his traditional vocal strengths with modern production. In that mix, ULSSIGU stands out as a bold and genre-crossing moment, injecting international flavour into the album without losing the artist’s identity.

ULSSIGU marks a milestone in global music collaboration. For Lim Young Woong, it’s a foray into new sonic territory. For Guy Sebastian and Louis Schoorl, it’s a return to the collaborative magic that first brought them acclaim, now extended to a whole new audience.
