Australia's Eurovision queen, Dami Im, has covered the hottest song on the planet right now, Golden, by Kpop Demon Hunters.

Dami has shown off her powerhouse vocals in a quick, one-take cover in what looks like her home studio. It's a jaw-dropping and seemingly effortless rendition of the song of the moment.

The wildly catchy and vocally challenging song is a perfect fit for Dami. Check out how she eats it up... with NO AUTOTUNE!

The KPop Demon Hunters phenomenon

KPop Demon Hunters has swept the globe and has become a true cultural force.

Since its mid-2025 release, KPop Demon Hunters has crushed charts globally, especially with the film's flagship single Golden.

The song soared to No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excluding US charts, spent multiple weeks at the top, and ranked No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, as well.

In the UK Singles Chart, Golden became the first KPop song to reach No. 1 since Gangnam Style in 2012, holding that position for multiple weeks.

At one point three songs from the soundtrack (Golden, Soda Pop and Your Idol), were all in the UK top 10 simultaneously.

And in Australia, the dominance is even more staggering. The KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack has topped the ARIA Albums Chart for at least six non-consecutive weeks, becoming the longest-running No. 1 album of 2025.

On the ARIA Singles Chart, Golden has held the No. 1 spot for at least three straight weeks, and is just one of six tracks from the soundtrack occupying the ARIA top 10 simultaneously.

As of the latest data (1 September 2025), Golden remains at No. 1, followed closely by Soda Pop at No. 4 and Your Idol at No. 5.

With the timing of KPop Demon Hunters' musical dominance coinciding with Eurovision New Year and against a backdrop of KPop international chart insurgencies from the likes of BTS and BLACKPINK.

Not to mention the intense hype that built so quickly for the (ultimately debunked) rumours about Eurovision Asia! Many of us at Aussievision are predicting a wave of KPop inspired Eurovision entries this season.

The world is eating up Asian music right now.

Bridging Australia and Korea

Dami Im has long been celebrated as one of Australia’s most versatile and powerful vocalists, but her story is also deeply connected to her Korean roots.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, Dami moved to Brisbane with her family when she was nine years old.

As a proud Korean-Australian, Dami has often spoken about her admiration for the way KPop blends performance, fashion, and narrative into something bigger than just music.

It is no surprise that she's one of the millions globally who are celebrating KPop Demon Hunters' musical moment.

Dami is Golden.
