Eurovision Song Contest Asia reveals national selection dates ahead of November final

The road to the first Eurovision Song Contest Asia is taking shape, with dates revealed for national selections across the region.
The inaugural contest will be held in Bangkok on Saturday 14 November, with the full list of participating broadcasters still to be revealed.
Seven countries have already confirmed dates for televised selections, beginning with Bhutan on Tuesday 11 August.
The announced national finals are:
Tuesday 11 August: Bhutan -Â Rhythm of Bhutan (7:00pm BTT / 11:00pm AEST)
Sunday 30 August: The Philippines -Â Philippine Selection Night (9:45pm PHT / 11:45pm AEST)
Friday 4 September: South Korea - Korea’s Next Wave (11:00pm KST / 12:00am AEST on 5 September)
Saturday 19 September:Â Nepal - Nepal Decides (7:00pm NPT / 11:15pm AEST)
Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 September: Laos -Â Sieng Lao: The One (8:30pm ICT / 11:30pm AEST)
Sunday 27 September: Thailand - Thailand’s Chosen One (6:00pm ICT / 9:00pm AEST)
Wednesday 30 September:Â Bangladesh - Voice of Bangladesh (9:00pm BST / 1:00am AEST on 1 October)
Malaysia will take a different approach, internally selecting its representative. The artist will be revealed on 15 August.
Cambodia and Vietnam have previously been announced as participating but not dates yet to be announced.
Bhutan has revealed the five artists taking part in their national final: The Sangay Lhaden Band, Karma Drupchu and group, Baeyul 301, Thukten Nyendra, and Pelden Wangchuk. However, the songs have yet to be released.
Full details of Eurovision Asia and the competing nations are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
The Eurovision Song Contest Asia will take place in Bangkok on Saturday 14 November.
