Spotify and YouTube rankings of Eurovision 2018 songs

Over the next few weeks we take a look at all play counts and views on Spotify and YouTube of all the Eurovision songs year by year since Australia’s debut in 2015 to 2020, to see which songs have been most popular with listeners and watchers.

Last week we looked at how the Eurovision 2017 songs ranked on Spotify and YouTube. Today we look at how Jessica Mauboy's 'We Got Love' fairs against all the other Eurovision 2018 songs on Spotify and YouTube.

Before we begin with the full list of songs with combined play counts and views we will take a look at the current top 10 on Spotify and YouTube. Also in brackets we have shown the songs final placing at Eurovision.

All play counts and views were collated on April 18 2021 (Australian time).

Out of the songs from Eurovision 2018 the runner-up 'Fuego' by Eleni Foureira takes the crown for the most streamed song on Spotify. However on the official Eurovision YouTube channel 'Toy' by Netta rules with almost the double amount of views than the second ranked 'Fuego'.

The biggest jump into the top 10, compared to their Eurovision final placing, is Spain's 'Tu canción' by Amaia & Alfred. It ranks in 6th place in our list compared to finishing in last place in the 23rd spot at the Eurovision final.

The highest ranked entry from semi final 1 in our list is Greece's 'Oniro mou' by Yianna Terzi which came in at 25th place in our ranking. At Eurovision the song failed to qualify to the final and came in 14th place in its semi final.

The highest placed song from the semi final 2 is the Polish entry 'Light Me Up' by Gromee feat. Lukas Meijer. It may have finished in 14th place at Eurovision in semi final 2, but in our list it reached the 17th place, placing higher than ten other songs that made it to the grand final.

Australia's entry, 'We Got Love' has held up very well, just sitting out of the Top 10 of the most played Eurovision 2018 songs on Spotify and most viewed Eurovision 2018 entries on YouTube. It came in at an overall place of 12th in our overall ranking.
