Spotify and YouTube rankings of Eurovision 2017 songs



Over the next few weeks we take a look at all play counts and views on Spotify and YouTube of all the Eurovision songs year by year since Australia’s debut in 2015 to 2020, to see which songs have been most popular with listeners and watchers.


Last week we looked at how the Eurovision 2016 songs ranked on Spotify and YouTube, with Australia's best placed Eurovision entry by Dami Im still maintaining great streaming and viewing numbers. Today we look at how Isaiah's 'Don't Come Easy' fairs against all the other Eurovision 2017 songs on Spotify and YouTube.

Before we begin with the full list of songs with combined play counts and views we will take a look at the current top 10 on Spotify and YouTube. Also in brackets we have shown the songs final placing at Eurovision.

All play counts and views were collated on April 10 2021 (Australian time).

Spotify Top 10 - since song release

Out of the songs from Eurovision 2017 Francesco Gabbani's 'Occidentali's Karma' takes the crown for the most streamed song on Spotify, followed closely behind Sunstroke Project's 'Hey, Mamma!'. However on the official Eurovision YouTube channel 'Hey, Mamma!' takes the crown with 41 million views following closely by the Eurovision winning entry 'Amar pelos dois' with 40 million views. Though overall 'Hey, Mamma!' surprisingly takes the top spot in our combined rankings.



The biggest jump into the top 20, compared to their Eurovision final placing, is Spain's 'Do It for Your Lover'. It ranks in 12th place in our list compared to finishing in last place in the 26th spot at the Eurovision final.




The highest ranked entry from semi final 1 in our list is Slavko Kalezić's 'Space' which came in at 28th place in our ranking. At Eurovision the song failed to qualify to the final and came in 16th place in its semi final.


The highest placed song from the semi final 2 is the Swiss entry 'Apollo' by Timebelle. It may have finished in 12th place at Eurovision in semi final 2, but in our list it reached the 19th place, placing higher than seven other songs that made it to the grand final.


Australia's entry, 'Don't Come Easy' has faired really well, reaching the Top 10 of the most played Eurovision 2017 songs on Spotify and the Top 20 most viewed Eurovision 2017 entries on YouTube. It came in at an overall place of 8th in our overall ranking.
