'Eurovision - Australia Decides' 2022 artist Sheldon Riley has revealed a spoiler of his eagerly awaited Australia Decides song.
Over the course of last 24 hours Sheldon posted on his Instagram stories glimpses of his preparation for show day as he prepared for the first day of 'John Foreman's Aussie Pops Orchestra - New Year's Eve & The Night Before' show.
During the show Dami introduces Sheldon for his world premiere of his 'Eurovision - Australia Decides' live performance, and we get a 15 second spoiler of Sheldon's Australia Decides song with the orchestra!
The title and details of the song have not been officially revealed yet. Though we did some digging and according to the APRA AMCOS website it is highly likely the song is called 'Not The Same' a self penned track by Sheldon Riley.
Through his Instagram account Sheldon also shared his rehearsals with the orchestra and with Eurovision royalty Dami Im who he is performing a duet with in the show. From the snippets online their duet sounds like the 1991 song 'I Can't Make You Love Me' by Bonnie Raitt. The song has been covered by many big artists including George Michael, Boyz II Men and Adele just to name a few.
Sheldon also shared a snippet of his rendition of Sara Bareilles' version of Elton John's classic 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' which he is also performing in the New Year's Eve show.
Before Christmas Sheldon revealed a sneak peek of his Australia Decides song with footage of songwriter and producer Cam Nacson working with musician and singer Timi Temple on some of the orchestral moments of the track which you can check out here.
If you are in Melbourne you can be one of the first people to hear Sheldon perform his Australia Decides entry!
Sheldon is performing in ‘John Foreman’s Aussie Pops Orchestra’ in Melbourne with many singers including Eurovision royalty Dami Im. There are two shows left today, a matinee at 2pm and the New year's Eve night show at 8pm. Tickets are on sale here.
It is not yet known when he will officially release his Australia Decides single.
