'Eurovision - Australia Decides' 2022 artist Sheldon Riley has shared a snippet of his eagerly awaited Australia Decides song.
Sheldon posted on his Instagram stories "You want a Eurovision sneak peek?... I will give you a sneak peek".
The clip reveals singer and songwriter Timi Temple playing the violin, which is recorded and overlaid to orchestral music with Sheldon's soaring vocals mixed by singer, songwriter and producer Cam Nacson!!
Cam Nacson is a familiar name in the Australian music industry who has worked with many Aussie artists including a few from 'The Voice Australia'. The Sydney born artist is a soloist and also part of the electro/alt pop act MOZA.
Earlier this year Cam collaborated with Australia Decides 2019 and New Wave 2021 alumni and 'The Voice Australia' 2016 winner Alfie Arcuri, on the emotional ballad 'Handsome Man'. Their song won Best Ballad at the Berlin Song Week Conference.
Back in June Sheldon released his first original single, 'Left Broken' which he co-wrote with Cam, who also produced the single.
Timi Temple, who plays the violin in the snippet, is a Sydney-based indie-rock artist with a strong presence on Triple J. His most popular single 'Tomorrow Is Yesterday' has been streamed over half a million times on Spotify.
In a previous Aussievision interview with Sheldon, he shared with us a few titbits about his entry:
Sheldon wrote his Australia Decides entry
The song is inspired by Billie Eilish, James Bond and Barbara Pravi
The performance has a huge ending
Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst changed Sheldon's life (a possible influence)
