Australia's own Eurovision star Sheldon Riley competed in the semi-finals of the AGT spin-off, 'America's Got Talent: Fantasy League' (AGT: Fantasy League) with a stunning performance where he covered JVKE's hit song 'Golden Hour'.
Sheldon earned his spot in the semi-finals after he wowed the audience with his rendition of Loreen's Eurovision 2023 winning song 'Tattoo' back in January.
Sheldon performed 'Golden Hour' on the sixth episode of 'AGT: Fantasy League' which aired on February 6, 2024.
His mentor on AGT: Fantasy League, Scary Spice herself, Mel B, gave Sheldon a standing ovation for his incredible performance.
Mel B commented, "I do think you took it to the next level. because I could really hear the emotion in your voice. I am really happy and so should you be."
Hedi Klum one of the other judges on the panel shared her love for the performance.
"I love how bold your fashion is. I love that there's a lot of art and not just you standing there singing, I feel like you give us a little extra. And I like extra."
Unfortunately for Sheldon, the other judges Howie Mandel and Simon Cowell didn't share the same sentiments.
Sadly Sheldon did not receive enough votes to enter the top 3 of the night, eliminating him from the competition.
The young talent is no stranger to AGT. Sheldon last competed on season 15 of AGT in 2020. He auditioned with the song 'Idontwannabeyouanymore' by Billie Eilish. Unfortunately, Sheldon was eliminated in the third quarter-final of the season after delivering his amazing rendition of the Kylie Minogue classic 'Can't Get You Out of My Head.'
Sheldon went on to compete at Eurovision 2022 in Turin, representing Australia with his emotive ballad 'Not The Same.' He finished second in his semi-final and 15th place in the Grand Final.
