Following the withdrawal of NeonoeN as Montenegro's Eurovision representative for 2025, a new artist has been chosen.
The Montenegrin broadcaster RTCG has confirmed Nina Žižić as Montenegro's artist at 2025 Eurovision Song Contest, where she will perform her song Dobrodošli.
If you have not been following the events of the last week or so since Montesong 2024, here is a summary.
On 27 November, rock act NeonoeN were the surprise winner of Montesong 2024, the new Montenegrin national final used to choose Montenegro's Eurovision entry. NeonoeN finished in first place, with 10 points in both jury and public vote to win on 20 votes, one point ahead of jury winner Nina Žižić.

Within a few days of their win, it was revealed that NeonoeN could be disqualified due to a rule that was broken as it was found the group had performed their song Clickbait before 1 September, at the Zabjelo Culture Festival in 2023.
However, before a decision could be made about whether the band could still go to Basel, NeonoeN withdrew from the Contest. The band's full statement is available on the RTCG website.
The drama did not stop there. It was revealed that Vladana Vučinić, Artistic Director (and 2022 Montenegro's Eurovision artist) had resigned from her role the day after Montesong 2024, stating “when things are done transparently, there is no need to keep quiet about it.”
Since then, fans have been left waiting to see who RTCG would be sending to Basel.
Nina Žižić is no stranger to Eurovision, as she represented her country back in 2013 as part of group Who See. Their song Ingraka is still a fan favourite today, but did not make it through to the Grand Final. The 2025 Contest will be Nina's chance at rendemption with her power ballad Dobrodošli.
