Today we look back at all the latest music releases and music videos from Australian Eurovision, Junior Eurovision and ‘Eurovision - Australia Decides’ artists throughout August 2023.

Didirri - 'Caught In The Act'

Released: 4 August 2023


'Eurovision - Australia Decides' 2020 artist Didirri has released his debut album 'Caught In The Act'.


The singer songwriter has released five singles from the album ahead of its release. You can buy the album in CD and vinyl record formats here. In support of the new album Didirri is embarking on a national tour throughout October. Get all the details here.

Jessica Mauboy feat. Jason Derulo - 'Give You Love'

Australia's Eurovision 2019 artist Jessica Mauboy has announced a new tour across Australia and New Zealand and released a new duet, 'Give You Love', with the US star Jason Derulo.


Ahead of the release of the new single Jessica surprised her fans with a 23 show 'Yours Forever' Tour. The Aussie pop star will be travelling to every state and territory and is also flying across the pond for a show in Auckland, New Zealand. The tour will take place from March to May 2024. The tour is to support Jessica's fifth studio album 'Yours Forever' which is set to be released on February 9, 2024. 'Yours Forever' is available for pre-order now! You can order the physical CD album and black vinyl at JBHifi. Both come with a bonus signed card and pocket mirror. Alternatively the Warner Music Store is offering a coloured peach marble vinyl version of the album, with a competition to see Jessica live. On top of the tour and album announcement comes the release of the duet with Jason Derulo. Both Jessica Mauboy and Jason Derulo are coaches on The Voice Australia which is broadcast on the Seven Network. The reality show is in its 12th season. Jason joins the coaching team replacing Aussie country star Keith Urban.



Jude York - 'Cashew'

The prince charming of Australia Decides, Jude York, has released a new uptempo pop track called 'Cashew'. The song is Jude's fourth original solo release since Australia Decides 2022.


'Cashew' has been long awaited by his fans. The music video features his opera singer Mum. It is lots of fun make sure you check it out! In a treat, and by popular demand, on August 24, Jude released an acoustic version of 'Cashew' featuring his Mum. The pair have great chemistry. Check out Jude's TikTok for amazing content between Jude and his Mum.




Guy Sebastian - 'I Chose Good'

Eurovision 2015 Australian representative Guy Sebastian has released, 'I Chose Good', his newest music release in three years.


The former Australian Idol winner wrote the song with producer Oscar Linnander and songwriter and record producer, Warren 'Oak' Felder. Warren has previously worked for Demi Lovato, Alessia Cara, Rihanna and Sabrina Carpenter.


Guy Sebastian is currently on the 12th season of ‘The Voice Australia’ Seven Network as a coach alongside Australia's Eurovision 2018 representative Jessica Mauboy, UK pop star Rita Ora and US musician Jason Derulo.



Dami Im - 'Paper Dragon (Live)'

Australia's Eurovision 2016 representative Dami Im has released a live version of her 2020 single 'Paper Dragon'. The single was off Dami's sixth studio album 'My Reality'.


The live version is part of a new EP release 'Live Session – Bluesfest Byron Bay' which is set to feature six tracks recorded at the iconic festival. Dami performed at Bluefest this year singing and playing piano alongside her six-piece band on the renowned Mojo stage.

LeeA - 'Get Out My Way'

'Eurovision - Australia Decides' star Leea Nanos aka LeeA has released 'Get Out My Way', ahead of the release of her new debut EP 'Switch Profile' which is out on September 1.


'Get Out My Way' sees LeeA collaborate with Michael DeLorenzis and Michael Paynter from Msquared productions. The pair previously worked with LeeA on G-Nation's Australia Decides 2022 song 'Bite Me' and 'Domino', a 2021 single by the young talent.

Drax Project & Charley - 'Disrespect'

'Eurovision - Australia Decides' 2022 artist Charley has collaborated with New Zealand band Drax Project for the song 'Disrespect'.


'Disrespect' was written in Los Angeles by Drax Project along with Rogét Chahayed, Imad Royal, and Mary Weitz back in 2019. Charley was added to the single after meeting the band.


In an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine Charley shared her excitement about the release: “I’m so excited to be collaborating with Drax Project as it’s been a bucket list goal of mine to record a song with them for years now!” she says. “The boys are so talented and just great humans, and it’s been such a fun experience to be on this song together.”


Charley released her debut EP 'Timebombs' back in June.



Jaguar Jonze & Goodwerks - 'Rebel Girl'

'Eurovision - Australia Decides' 2020 and 2022 artist, Jaguar Jonze, has released a cover of Bikini Kill's song 'Rebel Girl' in collaboration with Goodwerks. The song is taken off 'Broken Glass, Vol. 7'.


Broken Glass is a compilation that brings together communities of Nettwerk artists of all genre and gender, covering songs from the 90s, originally performed by women.


'Rebel Girl' comes off the seventh instalment of the compilation which also includes a cover of Aqua's 'Barbie Girl' by DYLYN.


This release supports reproductive rights, with a portion of all proceeds to be donated to the Keep Our Clinics campaign, the Abortion Care Network’s latest effort to protect access to care and support independent clinics across the country.



Olivia Newton-John feat. Johnny O'Keefe - 'I'm Counting On You'

Eurovision 1974 artist Olivia Newton-John has posthumously re-released her duet 'I'm Counting On You' with Aussie rock 'n roll legend Johnny O'Keefe.


'I'm Counting On You' became a No. 1 hit on the Australian music chart for Johnny in 1961 as a solo single.


The duet with Olivia was initially released in 2002 for her 18th studio album '(2)'. The 2023 re-release is set to come off her upcoming 'Just the Two of Us: The Duets Collection (Vol. 2)'.


'Just the Two of Us: The Duets Collection (Vol. 1)' was released posthumously on May 5, 2023 and featured collection of duets performed by Newton-John during her career, including unreleased tracks and some of her last recordings, as well as previously released songs. Volume 2 will be release on October 6, 2023.



Vanessa Amorosi - 'Absolutely Everybody'

'Eurovision - Australia Decides' 2020 artist Vanessa Amorosi has released a new contemporary version of her hit single 'Absolutely Everybody'.


The single re-release dropped ahead of big news that Vanessa has signed up Bay Street Records thanks to her long time collaboration with Dave Stewart. Vanessa is set to release a new single 'Wolf' on September 1. You can pre-save it here.



Tania Doko - 'Where Do We Go Now?'

The talented Tania Doko has released her second single in a month with the touching ballad 'Where Do We Go Now?'.


Tania has also released a music video for ‘Where Do We Go Now’ which was shot at Point Nepean, Victoria. In a social post Tania said: "It’s the pointy bottom end of Vic, handing us a beautiful, moody, wintery backdrop for this here song .. dear to my heart."


The song is taken off her upcoming EP, 'The Beauty’s in the Broken’.
