Many of us remember Montaigne from when they emerged and won Eurovision – Australia Decides in 2020 with their song Don’t Break Me. This enabled them to be selected to represent Australia in Rotterdam for Eurovision in May 2020.
As we know, the global pandemic delayed Eurovision that year and it was then in 2021 they were internally selected by SBS to represent Australia at Eurovision in Rotterdam with their song Technicolour.
Due to being unable to travel to Rotterdam that year, their Semi-Final performance was pre-recorded for the Eurovision audience, but unfortunately for the 1st time in our brief history of performing on the Eurovision stage, Australia did not qualify for the Grand Final.
