Australia's pop princess Kylie Minogue recently revealed her summer playlist for London's Evening Standard and there are some Eurovision-related songs on the list!
Her choices included popular tracks like Sabrina Carpenter's Espresso and Charli xcx's 360, but there was also a distinct Italian flavour.
Two songs from this year's Sanremo Music Festival appeared: Annalisa's Sinceramente and Mahmood'sTuta Gold.
Both songs lost out to Angelina Mango at Sanremo with her song La noia which went on to finish 7th at Eurovision.
Annalisa finished in third place at Sanremo despite being a fan favourite. Sinceramente has over 74 million streams on Spotify.
Mahmood, who competed at Eurovision in 2019 and 2022, placed 6th at Sanremo with Tuta Gold.
That song has had over 100 million streams on Spotify.
Kylie explained the Italian connection of her choices to the Evening Standard.
“Summer in Italy is a beauty to behold and a love affair that you never want to end," she said.
“The gentle breeze that rhythmically sways rows of elegant Cypress trees, as the air fills with that intoxicating Mediterranean blend of jasmine, citrus and lavender, the combination of which never fails to enchant. I’ve put together a playlist inspired by Italian summer, glamour, passion and celebration… with some surprises thrown in."
