Georgia's Nutsa Buzaladze on her 'dream' duet with Kylie Minogue

Nutsa Buzaladze, Georgia's 2024 Eurovision entrant, has paid tribute to Australia's Kylie Minogue during this morning's second Semi-Final Qualifiers Press Conference.

The 'Firefighter' singer and Kylie performed together during last year's season of 'American Idol' in which Nutsa finished in the Top 12. The Aussie singer appeared on the show in May last year to promote the release of single 'Padam Padam', pairing up with Nutsa to sing her 2001 hit 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head'.

Nutsa was asked about her experience singing with Kylie by Australian media this morning and told the press it was a dream to sing with her.

"I was very proud to sing with Kylie Minogue...she's a sweetheart and it was also a dream come true because when you sing in front of a mirror her songs (when you were) like seven years old and then you get to sing with her in real life it's just crazy!"

Nutsa, 27, has qualified Georgia through to the Eurovision Grand Final for the first time since 2016, causing much excitement amongst the Georgian media gathered at this morning's press conference.

And it's no surprise as she has plenty of television experience. Apart from last year's season of 'American Idol' she has also competed on 'Georgia's Got Talent', 'The Voice of Turkey', and the Georgian versions of 'Your Face Sounds Familiar' and 'Dancing with the Stars'. In 2014, she took out the New Wave music competition which has been won by several other Eurovision alumni including 2016 contest winner Jamala.

'Firefighter' will be song 24 in Saturday's Grand Final, after the running order was revealed earlier this morning.
