The Eurovision Song Contest brand has had a refresh to celebrate 70 years of the competition.
The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) revealed a new look for the Eurovision Song Contest today.
The brand refresh comes ahead of the celebration of 70 years of the Eurovision Song Contest.
So what’s new?
Refreshed logo: The iconic script, first launched in 2004 and refined in 2014, has been simplified into a single, logo The cursive ‘E’ has changed and 'song contest' has been brough in the design.
Custom typeface: A new font, “Singing Sans,” will roll out across Eurovision’s digital platforms and other uses.
.
All changes have been made in a "playful and elegant' brand direction with a 'digital first' approach.
The brand refresh was created by the EBU in collaboration with UK studio PALS, who also worked on Liverpool 2023’s brand strategy.
The 'United by Music' logo will continue to be used at each Contest.
The 'Chameleon Heart'
Alongside the logo comes a new graphic asset: the Chameleon Heart — described as Eurovision’s “emotional compass.”
It’s designed to absorb cultural influences, music, and movement, adapting to host-nation identity, artist individuality, or specific themes while remaining unmistakably Eurovision.
EBU explains the approach
Martin Green CBE, Director of the Eurovision Song Contest, explained the reasons.
“The Eurovision Song Contest has always been about evolution - musical, cultural, and creative," he said.
"This refresh honours 70 amazing years while taking the brand forward to an exciting future. It’s bold, playful, and full of heart - just like the Contest itself."
He also teased more announcements to mark the milestone year.
“You’ll start to see more of our new brand identity as we head towards next year’s Eurovision Song Contest," he said.
"There’ll be more surprises and details on all the activities celebrating 70 years of being United by Music, coming in the months ahead.”
This includes a special 3D heart featuring 70 layers — one for every year of the Contest — will appear throughout the build-up to Austria 2026.
Host city announcement this week
The Eurovision 2026 host city is due to be announced this week.
It's a race between Austria's capital Vienna and the mountain city of Innsbruck.
