Australia's 2026 Eurovision artist Delta Goodrem sits on a red leather couch wearing a blue satin blouse and blue denim jeans. A red neon sign reading 'The One Show' hangs on a pink wall in the background.

Australia's Eurovision 2026 artist Delta Goodrem has landed in London, where she appeared on BBC's The One Show. Her next stop will be on the preview party trail, where she will appear at Eurovision In Concert in the Netherlands.

Not long before landing in London, Delta Goodrem took to her social media stories to post about a brief stop she made in Vienna to film content for her upcoming Eurovision appearance in the Austrian capital city.

On The One Show, Delta Goodrem discussed her journey to Eurovision, as well as talking about representing Australia on one of the world's biggest stages.

Delta says: "Last year I was in London doing shows in Hackney, and it was the first time that I got to see Eurovision at the same [time as Europe] because Australia has been a part of it for the past 10, 11 years. It kept sort of circling me saying 'Would you do Eurovision?' and I'd always been on tours or on projects or shows, and this moment happened where someone said 'Would you do it?' and I said 'Of course, I'm always open-hearted to whatever the world is, where we move and good projects and excitement'. Basically, I said that 'yes', and there was an article written saying 'Delta to do Eurovision', and all of a sudden, songwriters I knew were like 'Hey, do you want to do Eurovision?', the Australians were like 'Are you going to do Eurovision?' I was like...'I guess...yes! We're doing Eurovision! Let's go! I'm in!' And now I really take it with my heart, it's been really beautiful to see the Aussies go 'We're going to Eurovision together!' so I feel like they're with me in my heart as I represent them."

When asked by The One Show host Alex Jones, "Could this be the year [that Australia wins Eurovision]?", Delta Goodrem replied:

"I hope so, that would be amazing! I give it my full heart and full force and do my very best, and I think the response to being a part of this amazing community with Eurovision, it's such a world in its own, it's so iconic, the stage itself, so I feel really honoured to be a part of it."

Delta Goodrem also discussed the songwriting process behind how Eclipse was chosen to be her Eurovision entry in 2026, saying:

"I was making the new music, there was time to have a new album; I'd been slowly chipping away at it. I like to go through life's experiences and then process and write about it and make it that chapter. But then, when Eurovision came into my life, I definitely thought about timing, and [how] everybody's life is their own timing, and to choose this moment or to step into any moment in your life is your own time, so I started with that. Eclipse is about those rare moments when stars align, and planets align, and it's a miracle when it happens, and you have to really enjoy the moment when that alignment happens. I was talking about my timing in career and life, and it's also a love song. So that's how I felt that it was the right moment and saying 'yes' in life, and here we are. That's what Eclipse was written about."

The Eclipse singer also spoke about two Eurovision stars being her greatest musical inspirations, saying:

"Celine Dion and Olivia Newton-John are two of the artists who...I wouldn't be in music if it wasn't for them. They are my two loves, two of my great loves, and both of them being part of the Eurovision family has been a real north star and guiding light. I have been honoured to write songs for both of them."

Delta Goodrem is no stranger to The One Show, having last appeared on the show in 2024 to promote her music, as well as her performance at BBC Radio 2 in the Park.

Eurovision in Concert will be Delta Goodrem's second preview party appearance, after she performed at the Nordic Eurovision Party in Oslo last weekend.
