Australian broadcaster SBS has announced that Danny Estrin from Voyager will be joining Courtney Act as part of the Australian commentary team for Eurovision 2026.
Danny will be a special guest commentator, replacing Tony Armstrong this year due to a scheduling clash.
SBS released a statement saying:
"Last year's co-host, Tony Armstrong is no longer able to join this year's event due to a scheduling clash with other projects. SBS thanks Tony for the energy, humour and heart he brought to the 2025 coverage and looks forward to seeing his signature sparkle return to the network in the coming months. Danny is the charismatic frontman and keyboardist of the Aussie progressive metal band Voyager. The band represented Australia at the Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool with their synth-driven track Promise.
They finished in 9th place in the Grand Final.
Danny shared his excitement on this announcement with a post on his socials.
"2026, baby I'm back! Not as a fan, not as a performer, but as a special guest commentator along side the fabulous Courtney Act. I'll be bringing you all the amazing action from Eurovision in Vienna for the 70th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. Eurovision nation this is going to be epic!!"
In a press release from SBS Courtney Act said:
“Eurovision never fails to give me butterflies. The 70th anniversary in Vienna, the city where Australia’s story in this contest began, feels like the most spectacular place to celebrate how far we’ve all come. I’m gonna call it now - Delta is going to be in the final. I’m predicting the kind of fever pitch excitement we saw when the Matildas took the World Cup by storm, if Delta does what I know she’s capable of, Sunday morning in Australia is going to be absolutely unhinged. Let’s bring home that trophy.”
The 70th Eurovision Song Contest is held from Tuesday 12 May - Saturday 16 May (CEST) 2026 in Vienna, Austria.
SBS will broadcast in Australia on SBS and SBS On Demand at the dates and times listed below:

Is anyone else like me- swearing they're playing their very last round of Block Blast, only to subconsciously hit the 'Replay' button?
Greetings, I discovered this platform while going through a list of recommended sites someone posted in a forum about Somalia. I clicked on https://winwin-somali.so/ and stayed longer than expected. I appreciated how clearly everything was arranged. I didn’t need to jump between pages to understand how things work.
