Eurovision royalty Dami Im took to her Instagram where she held a Q&A chat answering questions from fans about Eurovision, upcoming tours and more.

Return to Eurovision?

One of the big questions Dami got asked was whether she would compete at Eurovision again. She responded:

I get asked this a lot. I have tried to compete again, things happened, a lot of things happened and it didn't work out. Next year is 10 years anniversary of Sound of Silence so big things are coming, big things are coming! Not next year this year!!

In 2016 Dami achieved Australia's best result ever at Eurovision with Sound of Silence where she won the jury vote and finished overall as the runner-up behind Jamala from Ukraine.

At Eurovision - Australia Decides 2020 Dami Im made a huge announcement on stage, after performing a duet with Eurovision winner Måns Zelmerlöw, that she will be competing in next year's Australian national final where she would get to compete with the chance of representing Australia at Eurovision.

Unfortunately that didn't eventuate due to the Covid-pandemic which lead to the Eurovision Song Contest being cancelled for the first time in it's history and then Australia Decides not being held the following year.

The Australia Decides 2020 winner Montaigne was internally selected to represent Australia at Eurovision in 2021.

Even though Dami didn’t directly answer the question of whether she is returning to Eurovision anytime soon, it does sound like she has something big in store for the 10th anniversary of Sound of Silence. We will have to wait and see…

Het Grote Songfestivalfeest 2026

Dami confirmed that she will be performing in Amsterdam for Het Grote Songfestivalfeest 2026 held in the Netherlands.

Asked whether she had a European tour planned, she said:

I am playing in Amsterdam on November 13th this year, which is very exciting. I am planning on adding some more European dates around then. So, let me know which city you would like me to play in.

Dami will be joined by Eurovision 2009 winner Alexander Rybak, fellow Aussie who represented Cyprus in 2023 Andrew Lambrou, and Eurovision 2025 Erika Vikman just to name a few.

Het Grote Songfestivalfeest, which translates to The Big Songfestival Party, is a Dutch televised concert which features past Eurovision artists. It first took place in 2019, with a follow up that was meant to happen in 2021 but was cancelled due to the Covid pandemic.

Dami will officially be the third Aussie Eurovision representative to perform at the annual event after Guy Sebastian performed in Amsterdam in 2024 and Sheldon Riley in 2023.

Upcoming new music

During the Q&A Dami also revealed that she has a new jazz-inspired single set for release in two weeks called Sight of You.

The single is a follow up to Bubble, which was released in September 2025, off her upcoming seventh studio album.

Dami is set to embark on a jazz-inspired tour across Australia called the Stormy Weather Tour 2026.

The tour is set to start in June in Sydney. She will be performing in the Blue Mountains, for Live at Hydro, sold-out shows in her hometown of Brisbane at the Brisbane Jazz Club, she will head to Melbourne and then will be wrapping up in Perth in July. Tickets are limited get all the details here.

While a Eurovision return remains uncertain for now, her continued connection to the contest , and to fans across Europe and Australia, shows that Dami’s Eurovision story is far from over. As always, all eyes (and ears) will be on what she reveals next.
