Fans desperately want to see the former Eurovision winner Celine Dion perform in Basel, but will the superstar appear?
It's been a dream of many Eurovision fans: former Eurovision winner Celine Dion to guest perform at the event.
Celine won Eurovision 1988 by a single point with her song Ne partez pas sans moi.
The French Canadian singer began her music career in Europe and represented Switzerland the year she won.
She returned to the 1989 Eurovision Song Contest in Lausanne to perform a reprise of her winning song.
However, after her career took off internationally, she famously avoided the topic of Eurovision and her winning song.
However, a post today on Instagram, has many fans feeling she could return to the stage.
Celine did perform at the Paris Olympics last year, so could she come back to Europe to perform?
With the Contest in Switzerland for the first time since she won, this year would be the prime candidate for her to do so.
In addition, this year's Head of Show for Eurovision, Yves Schifferle, told the Euro Trip podcast that they were in touch with Celine and hoping to make it happen.
There is no confirmation from Eurovision if she will or won't. So we'll just have to wait and see!
