Australia’s Eurovision 2025 artist Go-Jo performed his fun and addictive song Milkshake Man in Basel, Switzerland this week, but who were his supporting artists on stage?

The large Basel audience, in addition to millions of viewers around the world, loudly sung Yum Yum, but who was on stage with the Milkshake Man?

Joining Go-Jo on stage were Jenaya Okpalanze and Jeannine Bruderer while off-stage George Sheppard provided backing vocals.

Jenaya Okpalanze

Jenaya Okpalanze is an accomplished fashion model and is also one half of the 60s pop song inspired duo (Surely Shirley) with her twin sister Anisha.

From Shellharbour on the New South Wales south coast, Jenaya is from a Nigerian Australian background and she grew up with a love for old time classics, thanks to the early introduction from her grandparents filling the house with beloved tunes of the past.

Many of you may recognise Jenaya, as she features in Go-Jo's Milkshake Man music video along with her twin sister Anisha who unfortunately was unable to perform in Basel.

Jenaya is the partner of Go-Jo and she was instrumental in his fashion styling for the Turquoise Carpet event at the Eurovision opening ceremony held last Sunday 11 May in Basel.

Jeannine Bruderer

Jeannine is a dancer, dance teacher and choreographer and resides in Basel, Switzerland.

Her great love is dancing. Being on stage and giving form to concepts and feelings. Whether as a background for an artist or as part of an entire show.

Jeannine is also a coach of the hip hop dance group Bequest, a mindfulness ambassador and co-founder of Dancer Against Cancer.

Jeannine loves working with people as a choreographer and coach and supporting them in their development, so she is a great asset for Go-Jo's stage performance.

George Sheppard

George Sheppard is an Australian singer, songwriter, and performer best known as the lead vocalist of the Brisbane-based indie pop band Sheppard.

Born in Papua New Guinea and raised in Brisbane, George co-founded the band with his sister Amy Sheppard and later brought in their younger sister Emma, making it a true family affair. The band rose to international prominence in 2014 with their breakout hit Geronimo, which topped the Australian charts and gained global attention.

George is no stranger to Eurovision. He competed with his band Sheppard at Australia Decides in 2019, finishing 3rd behind Kate Miller-Heidke and Electric Fields with On My Way.

He also wrote Pushing Stars for Jordan-Ravi's Australia Decides entry in 2020 and also submitted a song for 2024.

George spoke to Aussievision about creating Milkshake Man and his Eurovision experience.
