In 2026, social media has become an essential part of promotion in the lead up to Eurovision, with fans looking for more ways to engage with their favourite artists beyond just the song and staging.

Instagram not only gives fans a direct connection to artists throughout the season, but also helps performers to promote their music to a global audience and build a fanbase beyond Eurovision.

Follower counts on Instagram show us an interesting snapshot of which acts arrive at Eurovision with the biggest existing audiences, and which ones are seeing their popularity surge the closer we get to Vienna.

We’ve reviewed the official Instagram accounts of this year’s performers and ranked them based on their follower numbers.

For the purposes of this article, for duos and groups we have tallied not only the band’s followers, but the individual band members followers have also been added to the total to give a complete picture of popularity e.g. for Finland’s Pete & Linda we have added their individual followers to give a combined total for the act.

Let's see who takes out the top spot!
