United Kingdom broadcaster BBC has just announced Look Mum No Computer as the 2026 Eurovision act that will represent the UK in Vienna.

Look Mum No Computer, is an electronic project created by British musician and engineer Sam Battle. Battle is best known for building unusual, often handmade synthesisers and musical machines, including devices constructed from vintage electronics, game consoles, or entirely custom circuitry. These machines are often used through his performances and online videos.

Look Mum No Computer first gained recognition through viral YouTube demonstrations and live shows built around custom-made instruments, and Battle later expanded into building a physical synthesizer museum and workshop space dedicated to electronic music history and experimentation. His artistic identity is strongly tied to "maker culture" and the revival of analogue sound design, and he has built a large following among electronic music enthusiasts who value hands-on hardware creation rather than purely software-based production.

In 2015, he and his indie rock band ZIBRA performed at Glastonbury. Battle is popular on YouTube and has 1.4 million subscribers and followers, with over 85 million views for his videos (and he's about to get a whole lot more!)

Battle was quoted by the BBC saying:

"I have always been a massive Eurovision fan. Getting to fly the flag for the UK is an absolute honour"

There is no word yet on the song that Look Mum No Computer will take to Vienna, watch this space!
