The Rasmus, who represented Finland at the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, have announced the dates of their world tour, The Weirdo Tour, including some shows in Australia!

This will be the first time the Finnish rock band has made their way Down Under in their career, which spans over three decades and stretches across 11 studio albums.

From their first album, Peep, which went Gold when the band's members were just 16 years old, to their major label debut in 2003, Dead Letters, containing the hit single In The Shadows, which peaked at number 23 on the ARIA singles chart, The Rasmus has built a legacy in rock that has seen them become one of Finland's greatest musical exports.

“I find it comforting that our most recent album has pretty much the same message as on our first album released in 1996,” says frontman Lauri Ylönen.

“It is to defend and praise the ones who are different from the masses and proudly being themselves as they are. It has been our philosophy from the very beginning. I’ve always felt like an outsider not fitting the norm. I’ve been called a weirdo, misfit and a freak. That used to make me angry but not anymore. It’s become my source of strength and confidence. I’ve realised the power of it. All the people I find exciting and inspiring are somehow strange. We, the Weirdos, unite and feed off people’s judging attitudes. The fact is they’re just afraid of us. Afraid of our capability to create new and change the future. Are you a Weirdo? Join us…”

The Rasmus will be performing in Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne in January 2026, bringing their award-winning discography to fans in Australia for the first time in their history.

In 2026, the band will also be playing at festivals all over Europe, including Nova Rock 2026 in Austria, Lost Generation Festival 2026 in Poland, Resurrection Fest 2026 in Spain, Masters of Rock 2026 in Czechia, and two festivals in their home country of Finland.
