Lithuania's 2024 Eurovision representative Silvester Belt has covered 'Rush' by Australian singer-songwriter Troye Sivan.

The cover is part of a series arranged by Eurovision Song Contest organisers where the artists of 2024 were asked to perform a song of their choice by any other artist.

Many Eurovision fans have noted the visual similarities between the two artists, possibly due to Troye's father Shaun also being of Lithuanian descent.

Speaking about his song choice Silvester told Lithuanian broadcaster LRT -

"I'm not lying when I say that Troye has been an inspiration to me since I was a teenager. I really like his road, all his songs, music. The artist is the first on my spotify listening list...when I first heard this song and saw its music video in the summer, I danced and strutted around the house for at least a couple of hours."

'Rush' was released in Australia in July 2023 and was the lead single from Sivan's third studio album 'Something to Give Each Other'.

Achieving 2 x Platinum sales in Australia, it reached a peak of number 12 on the Australian ARIA Chart, winning Song of the Year, Best Produced Release and Best Engineered Release at the 2023 Aria Music Awards.

'Rush' also topped the charts in Israel and entered the top ten in Ireland, Croatia, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, and Russia.

Silvester will perform 'Luktelk' in Semi Final 1 of the Eurovision Song Contest on 7 May.
