Sheldon Riley joins lineup of Eurovision stars for Het Grote Songfestivalfeest 2022



Australia's Eurovision 2022 star Sheldon Riley has been announced as part of a long lineup of Eurovision royalty for Het Grote Songfestivalfeest 2022.


Het Grote Songfestivalfeest, which translates to The Big Songfestival Party, is a Dutch televised concert which features past Eurovision artists. It first took place in 2019, with a follow up that was meant to happen in 2021 but was cancelled due to the Covid pandemic.


The second edition of Het Grote Songfestivalfeest will occur on November 17, 2022 at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.


Sheldon Riley is the first official Australian Eurovision representative to take part. Back in May Sheldon delivered an emotive performance of his entry 'Not The Same' in Turin finishing in 15th place at the Eurovision Grand Final.

Tickets for the huge concert are currently on sale. It is an absolute must for Eurovision fans.


The event is expected to be televised at a later date.


There is no word yet when and if the show will be broadcast in Australia. Het Grote Songfestivalfeest 2019 was broadcast on SBS Viceland in May 2020 renamed as 'The Road To Eurovision 2020: The Winners'. Fingers crossed it will be on screens Down Under not long after the live show.
