SABA has won Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2024 with her song 'Sand' and will represent Denmark at Eurovision in Malmö in May. SABA triumphed over Basim and Janus Wilberg in the Superfinal with 37 per cent of the vote, followed by Basim on 34 per cent, and Janus Wilberg with 29 per cent.

The contest was televised by broadcaster DR and hosted by Sara Bro and Stéphanie Surrugue at DR Koncerthuset in Copenhagen.

Denmark made their debut in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957. They have competed 51 times and have won on three occasions with Grethe and Jørgen Ingmann in 1963 with 'Dansevise', The Olsen Brothers in 2000 with 'Fly on the Wings of Love' and most recently with Emmelie de Forest in 2013 with 'Only Teardrops'. Last year Denmark was represented by Reiley with 'Breaking My Heart' which failed to qualify to the final.
