The metro ratings are in for the coverage of ‘Eurovision – Australia Decides’ on SBS.
These ratings take into account Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth only – the regional numbers will be released later.
Coverage peaked at 334,000 viewers for the results while 255,00 watched the bulk of the show.
The 334,000 is up from 298,000 last year represented a 12% increase. A great result for the show.
The breakdown by each city was:
Sydney – 97,000 (up 7,000 from 2019)
Melbourne – 118,000 (up 28,000)
Brisbane – 71,000 (up 11,000)
Adelaide 18,000 (down 16,000)
Perth 31,000 (up 7,000)
The show ranked 11th for the evening but if you remove multiple aspects of the Big Bash league, it was 8th highest.
Overall for the night, SBS took in 8.5% as a primary channel and 11.6% for the network.
