Eurovision winning songs aren't necessarily the most streamed song of their year.
Today we take a look at the number one most streamed songs of each year from 2001 to 2025 on Spotify.
There are a few surprises in our list, at the end of our list we look at interesting insights we have discovered.
The Spotify streams from the songs have been complied on 15 August 2025.

Interesting insights
Out of the 25 most streamed Eurovision songs of each year from 2001 to 2025 we found the following interesting facts:
13 Eurovision winning songs (52%) are the number one most streamed song of their year.
19 songs (76%) on the list finished within the top 5 in a Eurovision Grand Final.
The country with the most number one streamed songs is Sweden with nine entries. Out of those Loreen is the only artist to have more than one song (two songs) on the list, both her winning entries.
Two songs on the list didn't compete in a Eurovision Grand Final, they include Think About Things by Daði Freyr in 2020 - due to the contest cancellation because of the Covid pandemic and Europapa by Joost in 2024 - who was disqualified, though he did finish second in his semi-final.
The entry with the lowest placing in a Eurovision Grand Final is Snap by Rosa Linn from 2022 who finished in 20th place.
