Portugal: Festival da Canção 2024 Semi-Final 1 results



This morning, Portuguese Eurovision broadcaster RTP Internacional (RTP) held semi-final 1 of their national final Festival da Canção 2024. Five of the finalists were determined by a 50% televoting and 50% jury system. The five acts advancing directly to the Final are: Rita Rocha – 'Pontos Finais'



Nena – 'Teorias da Conspiração'


Perpétua – 'Bem Longe Daqui'



Iolanda – 'Grito'


João Borsch – '...Pelas Costuras'


A wild card was then announced, this was chosen via 100% televoting.

Noble – 'Memory'




The four eliminated entries are:

Mela – 'Água'

Mila Dores – 'Afia a Língua'

Left – 'Volto a Ti'

Bispo – 'Casa Portuguesa' Six more finalists will be chosen from Semi Final 2 which will take place on Sunday March 03 (Australian time) at 8.00am ADST with the Final to be held on Sunday March 10 (Australian time).


Portugal has competed 53 times since their debut in 1964 and has won the Eurovision Song Contest once with Salvador Sobral and 'Amar pelos dois' in 2017. Last year Portugal was represented by Mimicat with 'Ai coração' which finished in 23rd place.
