Overnight, Georgian public broadcaster GPB internally selected Nutsa Buzaladze to fly the Georgian flag at the Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden!
Born in Tbilisi, Georgia, Nutsa Buzaladze was a Top 12 finalist on the 21st season of American Idol in 2023, where she performed a duet with Australian pop music superstar Kylie Minogue on her legendary song 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head'.
Nutsa Buzaladze won the New Wave music competition in 2014, joining plenty of Eurovision alumni who have won the title.
Previous winners of New Wave have included 2016 Eurovision Song Contest winner Jamala, Natalia Gordienko (Moldova 2021, 2006), DoReDoS (Moldova 2018), Intars Busulis (Latvia 2009), Cosmos (Latvia 2006), and Damir Kedžo (Croatia 2020).
Nutsa boasts plenty of experience performing in televised singing competitions, as she was a finalist in 'All Together Now', participated in the Albanian song competition 'Kenga Magjike' in 2021, and made it to the semi-finals of 'The Voice Of Turkey'.
In 2019, she released her debut album under the name Nutsa22, which features tracks in Georgian and English.
She describes herself as "a self-motivated, active, energetic girl who is a real hard worker" and "a workaholic who simply loves what she does".
Nutsa Buzaladze's Eurovision entry will be revealed in the coming weeks.
