Eurovision 2021 winners, Måneskin, have climbed the ARIA Singles charts while a second song of theirs makes its debut.
Måneskin’s cover of The Four Seasons' 1967 track ‘Beggin'' debuted at No.22 on the ARIA singles chart last week and has now jumped up 16 places to No.6.
The song was recorded by Måneskin back in 2017 after performing it on the' X Factor Italy 'but has had new found success thanks to both viral use on TikTok and the group's rising profile since winning Eurovision. The song is off their EP ‘Chosen’ from 2017.
The song is currently storming the charts across Europe including No.1 in Germany and climbing to No.7 in the United Kingdom. In the United Kingdom the band has had two other songs make a singles chart appearance with 'Zitti e buoni’ peaking at No.17 and just this week ‘I Wanna Be Your Slave’ climbed to No. 5.
This week ‘I Wanna Be Your Slave’ has debuted at No. 21 on the ARIA chart marking the Italian bands second song to make an appearance on the Australian singles chart. The song is off the bands second album ‘Teatro d'ira: Vol. I’ released this year just after their big win at the Italian music festival Sanremo.
The song is the third biggest debut on the ARIA Singles chart for the week in Australia with Doja Cat & The Weeknd's song 'You Right' debuting at No.11 and Ed Sheeran's 'Bad Habits' debuting at No.1.
‘I Wanna Be Your Slave’ hasn't officially been released as a single but it has charted in the Top 10 across Europe and appeared in the Spotify Viral charts across the world.
When it comes to streaming in Australia the band have had five of their songs appear on the Spotify Top 200 and Viral 50 charts. On iTunes ‘Beggin’’, 'I Wanna Be Your Slave’, 'Zitti e buoni’ have all reached the top 50.
