Melbourne's Federation Square has announced a live watch party to cheer on Australia's Delta Goodrem at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 Grand Final.

The venue is best known for gatherings for Australia's World Cup soccer matches and other great national and cultural celebrations. But believe it or not, Eurovision also fits this bill - with the venue previously showing Eurovision live on its big screen in the past too, given broadcaster SBS' Melbourne's offices are also based at the square.

Fresh from Delta's sublime performance in the second semi final on Friday morning, the venue has urged all fans to come and watch the broadcast from 5am in a post on its Instagram page.

"Our girl @deltagoodrem made it through to the Eurovision Grand Final! 😍 So – let’s get up early on Sunday, rug up and head to the Square to cheer her on from half a world away, as she represents Australia in the biggest global song contest around 🫶 Goooo Delta! 🌟"

Given the huge momentum building around Delta's chances of winning the contest, this could seriously be a fitting place to soak up the atmosphere and watch a possibly historic event for Australia!

Melbourne also has free public transport at the moment, and night trains will be running on most lines every hour if you want to make the trip in.

If Fed Square is too far away for you to visit at 5am - plenty of other watch parties are happening around Australia - see the list below for the one closest to you:
