Me Tana impresses on first night of Festivali i Këngës

The first night of Albania's national final, Festivali i Këngës, has been sung and run.

Though we won't find out who makes the final until after the second semi final tomorrow evening. All up 12 acts from the 20 entires will make Sunday night's final (Monday morning in Australia).

In the first night's semi final the follow acts featuredL

1. Bojken Lako - "Malaseen"

2. Kanita Suma - "Ankth"

3. Devis Xherahu -"Bisedoj me serenatën"

4. Aldo Bardhi - "Melodi"

5. Kamela Islamaj - "Më ngjyros"

6. Genc Tukiçi and Nadia Tukiçi - "Ju flet Tirana"

7. Sara Bajraktari - "Ajër"

8. Elvana Gjata - "Me tana"

9. Renis Gjoka - "Loja"

10. Albërie Hadërgjonaj - "Ku ta gjej dikë ta dua"

But the performance that got most people talking was fan favourite Elvana Gjata's 'Me tana'.

Fans were impressed...

Eurovision 2019 runner-up Mahmood also performed on the night. He sang his Eurovision song 'Soldi' as well as his single 'Barrio'.

The presenter also gave a shout out to Australian fans watching the show online. We feel very special!

The second semi final will be on Friday night (Saturday morning in Australia 6:30 AEDT approximately) with the final the same time on Sunday night (Monday Morning).
