Mahmood’s Eurovision 2019 song ‘Soldi’ surpasses 200 million streams on Spotify



It has been nearly three years since Mahmood finished in the runner up spot at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, representing Italy with the song 'Soldi'.

‘Soldi’ has hit a milestone surpassing 200 million Spotify streams, currently accumulating 200,014,907 listens on the music streaming platform. It is the third Eurovision song to do so and the first Eurovision runner up song to reach 200 million streams.


Since the 2019 Contest it has taken 'Soldi' 1,083 days from the 2019 Grand Final to make the 200 million milestone. In comparison to the other two Eurovision songs to pass 200 million streams on Spotify, it took Duncan Laurence's 'Arcade' 647 days since the Eurovision 2019 Grand Final and Måneskin’s ‘Zitti e buoni’ just 125 days since the Eurovision 2021 Grand Final!


In 2019 Mahmood scored Italy their third runner up finish at a Eurovision Grand Final. 'Soldi' got four sets of douze points from Croatia, Malta, Spain and Switzerland in the televote and six sets of douze points from Belgium, Croatia, Germany, Malta, North Macedonia and San Marino. Overall scoring 472 points. The Australian televoters gave Mahmood 5 points.


In Europe ‘Solidi’ reached No.1 on the music charts in Italy, Greece, Israel and Lithuania and the top 10 in Estonia, Iceland, Luxembourg, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.


Mahmood is once again competing at Eurovision, making his return this year in Turin with Blanco in the duet 'Brividi' representing Italy, this years host nation.
