Måneskin nominated for MTV Video Music Awards 2022

The success of Eurovision 2021 winners Måneskin continues with the band receiving two nominations for the 2022 MTV's Video Music Awards.

The Italian group were nominated for Best New Artist and Best Alternative video for 'I Wanna Be Your Slave'.

In the Best New Artist category they are up against:

Baby Keem

Dove Cameron




For the Best Alternative category the other nominees are:

Avril Lavigne Featuring Blackbear - 'Love It When You Hate Me'

Imagine Dragons & J.I.D - 'Enemy'

Machine Gun Kelly Featuring Willow - 'Emo Girl'

Panic! at the Disco - 'Viva las Vengeance'

Twenty One Pilots - 'Saturday'

Willow & Avril Lavigne Featuring Travis Barker - 'Grow'

The group have previously won Best Rock Group at the MTV Europe Music Awards and Top Rock Song for 'Beggin' at the Billboard Music Awards. They have also been nominated for Brit and NME awards.

The 2022 MTV Video Music Awards will take place on Sunday 28 August at Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential Center. Kendrick Lamar, Lil Nas X, and Jack Harlow are tied for the most nominations with seven each.
