Louane to represent France at Eurovision 2025

Overnight, French public broadcaster France TV announced that well-known artist and musician Louane will be representing the Big 5 nation at Eurovision 2025 in Basel.
The announcement broke on Louane's Instagram, where she confirmed her participation with a video montage following months of rumours in the French press - which she previously denied back in October 2024!
28 years old, Louane is an established and well-known part of the French music scene who has been releasing songs for more than a decade.
She first came to prominence in 2013's edition of The Voice: La Plus Belle Voix, France's edition of the beloved reality show.
The following year, Louane also made her screen debut in 2014's La Famille Bélier, for which she received the César du meilleur espoir féminin in 2015, awarded to the best female debutee in a film during the year.
Louane has since released 5 albums and numerous singles, all of which have shot to the top 10 in France and two of which (Chambre 12 and Louane) hit number one in the Hexagon upon release.
Her most recent single, La Pluie, was released in June 2024 and therefore is ineligible for this year's Eurovision.
Louane's song for Eurovision will be release in the coming weeks.
