The Lithuanian National Final ‘Pabandom iš Naujo!’ continues this weekend with Heat 2. The remaining 10 artists will compete for the remaining 5 positions in the Semi-Final, where they will be up against the top 5 from last week.
Also on the line-up this week is the highly anticipated preview performance of ‘Discotheque’ by The Roop – the 2020 ‘Pabandom iš Naujo!’ winners, who were given a direct ticket to this year’s Final. They released their song this week, and you can listen to it here.
This week we will also see Lithuania's 2014 representative Vilija Matačiūnaitė return, under the stage name Sunday Afternoon.
Here are the artists that will perform in Heat 2, listed in running order. So far six of the songs have been released in advance.
1. UnoBand – ‘Eisiu’
This will be UnoBand’s first shot at the National Final.
2. Rapolas Meškauskas – ‘Degam’
Rapolas competed in X Factor Lithuania in 2019. It will be his first appearance at ‘Pabandom iš Naujo!’.
3. Sunday Afternoon – ‘Open’
Sunday Afternoon is a stage name for Vilija Matačiūnaitė, who represented Lithuania at Eurovision 2014 with ‘Attention’. She performed in the Second Semi-Final (directly after Conchita Wurst) and narrowly missed out from qualifying, coming in at 11th place. Vilija also entered the national final in 2017 with ‘I See the Lights’, but failed to make it out of the heat.
4. Aistė Brokenleg - ‘Home’
Aistė took part in 2020 under the name Abrokenleg, performing ‘Electric Boy’. She was eliminated in Heat 2, finishing 10th place.
5. Cosmic Bride - ‘Solitary Star’
Cosmic Bride took part in the National Final in 2018 under her name Natalija Chareckaja, with the song ‘Serious’. She was eliminated in Heat 1, coming in at 8th place.
6. Norbertas - ‘Man in Need’
This will be the first time in the competition for Norbertas. He is known in Lithuania for competing in X Factor in 2019.
7. Gabrielė Goštautaitė - ‘Freedom’
This will be Gabrielė’s first time copeting in the National Final.
8. Gebrasy – ‘Where’d You Wanna Go?’
Gebrasy entered in 2019 with ‘Acceptance’. He came 7th in Heat 1, not progressing to the next round.
9. Evita Cololo – ‘Be Paslapčių’
Evita won The Voice of Lithuania last year. This will be her first time in the National Final.
10. Gabrielius Vagelis – ‘My Guy’
Gabrielius is a familiar face in the Lithuanian National Final. In 2017 he came 5th in the Final with ‘Feel Myself Free’. In 2018 he was eliminated in the Semi-Final at 7th place with "The Distant". Last year he made it to the Semi-Final and came 8th with "Tave čia randu".
