JUNHEE wins national final to represent South Korea at Eurovision Asia 2026

JUNHEE will represent South Korea at the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia after winning Korea's Next Wave with Deep Dive.


Bhutan became the fourth country to select its artist for Eurovision Asia, with eight acts competing in the national final broadcast live from South Korea.

JUNHEE will take Deep Dive to Bangkok after winning South Korea's national final.


The 32-year-old Korean singer, dancer, and actor is best recognised as the leader and main vocalist of the K-pop boy group A.C.E.


After launching his own one-person agency, H&P Entertainment, he expanded into solo work as a singer-songwriter and CEO, releasing projects like the mini-album Love Method.




Deep Dive is co-written by AleXa the inaugural winner of the American Song Contest back in 2022.


This year she competed in Sweden's Melodifestivalen where the winner gets to represent Sweden at Eurovision. Alexa performed her entry Tongue Tied in the fifth heat in Sundsvall, where she qualified to the final qualification round. She missed out on the final.

The winner of Korea’s Next Wave was selected by a combination of jury voting (40%), local voting (40%), and international voting (20%) The result makes JUNHEE the first artist ever selected to represent South Korea at the Eurovision Song Contest Asia.


It is also the third entry selected for the inaugural contest via a national final.


South Korea will compete at the first Eurovision Song Contest Asia, which takes place in Bangkok, Thailand, on Saturday 14 November.


The contest will bring together broadcasters and artists from across the Asia-Pacific region for the first edition of the new Eurovision event.
